I can't really see what would need demo'ing at a store. It's not like a single knob boost where you'd have no idea if it's too bassy etc for your liking. I think of it as a utility pedal. I'm sure many would also use it as an always-on pedal.

i dont use any "always on" pedals. i like the way my guitar and amp sound and im super picky about what i put in the chain. i wont put my boss tuner in the chain cause i dont like what it does to the tone and feel for example. are the mids in the right place on one of the two options? does it add a high end sheen that i dont like when on? does it change the tone in a way i dont like when off? i like it in concept but wouldnt buy it, or damn near anything guitar related, without checking it out for myself

This is all I got. Iíve mostly pursued MIAB pedals to have a consistent sound when I canít use my full rig. The MarvelDrive is hands down the best I have because it has the response and compression of my real Marshalls. The others are good and are a close second.

The TS9DX was more interesting and versatile than I expected, does everything from clean boost to a couple different flavors of dirt.

The Wampler does everything from screamin Queen/Brian May to various versions of VOX break up, even mimics 15 and 30 watt versions and EF86 vs 12AX7 variants and has an extra onboard boost, something like jumpering the normal and top boost channels.

The Zoom handles most everything else I need convincingly enough. Does dirt pedals (TS9, Rat, DS-1) and does other amps like Orange, Fenders, Sound City and Hiwatt.

By no means comprehensive, this is just a pedal board version of my studio back line.

I once found a guitar amp in the garbage, a Peavey Studio 110. It caught fire at the first gig I played it at.. But it was at the end of it, thank god.

    Sorry Ace, just saw this.
Even though I don’t use it much, not sure I want to let it go. If I do, I’ll let know first.
