    Ce-5 is a good pedal for subtle color of distorted tones. It largely stays out of the way, which is very good for distortion, but even the analog version of the CE-5 seems to lack that middy warmness for clean tones that the CE-2 has in spades. I think you have to decide what’s more important. If you need an “always on” subtle chorus that is used to build a certain distorted tone, I would recommend the CH-1 or CE-5 over the CE-2. As mentioned, if you need stereo, the CE-2 is not an option.
