Have you ever noticed, when you’re thinking about your pedals, there’s one you tend to forget, or maybe you forget what it’s called?

I always forget which Boss chorus pedal I have. So I went and looked, and it’s one of these:

I only use one pedal now. Itís a Zoom MG50 or M50G or maybe MD50G.., look, why should I have to remember something thatís written right on the front of it? I already own it, so Iím not going shopping for it. I donít need to know. Whenever I look at it, itís under my foot anyway, so that my excuse.

I once found a guitar amp in the garbage, a Peavey Studio 110. It caught fire at the first gig I played it at.. But it was at the end of it, thank god.

    Similar. Is my pedal an SCH-1, a CE-5, a CS-1, or a CES-3? It’s in my bedroom, and I don’t spent much time there when I’m awake.

Well, it is kind of a humble brag to begin with.

I either have a Boss SD-1 or OD-1 and I can never keep it straight which it is. All I know is I don't like it that much and hasn't been on my board in years.

Most of my pedals are in their boxes and haven't been used in years: a ProCo RAT distortion from the early 1980s, a Boss DM-2 Analog Delay, an Electro-Harmonix Bass Micro Synthesizer and a Boss PS-5 Harmonist.

The only pedal I use regularly is an MXR Dyna Comp that I bought back in 1982. I'm primarily a bass player but started dabbling in guitar (again) and have been using one of those Line6 PODxt effects processors.

EDIT: I forgot I bought a DigiTech JamMan looper pedal from someone on the SD Forum--I think I used it for an hour and it's been in a box for the last 7 years or so!

Interesting and timely thread. I know I own one of these. (CH-1) But for the life of me, I can't put my hands on it. Now I wonder if I loaned it out?

I forgot I owned an old Arion analogue delay pedal, which is impressive because I only owned three pedals at the time, one of which was a tuner! In my defense, I used the tuner and the eq pedal all the time and never ever used the delay.

Says it all. It's like a cartoon of a compressor pedal.

A TS5 I bought used, intending to rehouse. Then I realised that I couldn’t be bothered.

DOD Boneshaker distortion. I like the pedal; it has great flexible EQ. Used it at first as a lead drive, then for feedback-on-demand to simulate the Cream Machine in my rack rig. It worked really well for both those purposes. But I moved on to more amplike drives and lately not only do I tend to forget I have it, but when I think about it I can't remember the name.

I keep forgetting I have those two Ibanez Soundtanks I bought as spare parts for my Super Chorus. Nostalgia and extraordinary measures run amuck. Amok? Whatever.
