All guitars look better with a pool in the background. Search "Pool" on forum for discussions.

Shot is taken from Tiki bar. They got their drinks after shoot was finished.

It's Minty and plays like buttah that has been buttered. Three of those all have maple 3 piece necks. Bright and sturdy.

40 years of playing is how I did that 79 Sunburst's neck. No need to do the whole thing. Finish wears off based on where you play...

I get it, I was referring to Frehley's guitar always being garnished further than other Les Pauls.

The weekend went fine, but today not so much. The harness is essentially built and the neck pickup is in (and working), but I ran out of solder. Maybe I'll finish it next weekend depending on the weather.

Three 68 reissues - the two solid finishes with huge necks and the burst one with a 60's slim taper. All equipped with Duncan Customs, with different magnets

Because of the extra and largely vestigial pickup.

Somebody posted this pic of a '59 Junior, slightly modded for a stop tailpiece. Some old-school luthiery, eh?

Those, especially the black and white ones, are so classic in terms of what I used to see played by the older school hard rock bands. Just freakin cool.

I'm thinking that would work and is easily adjustable to get strings over the poles....

Finished wiring it today, but the neck volume won't completely turn off. Hopefully it's a soldering issue and not a dead pot because everything else works. I really like how the Hybrid can be split to either coil, and the phase and series options are kind of cool. The Hybrid is a bit bright and slightly scooped, but I could always swap it to RCA5, or I could use the magnet from the dead 'JB Model' in my parts bin. Decisions, decisions...

I also need to find some new bell knobs because the Gibson ones won't fit these Alpha pots.
