I have a Tech 21 Trademark 10 that sounds exceptional direct into a mixer. It has an 8" speaker, and is an analog modeler. I've used it on TV and on live radio performances and it sounds wonderful still.

Obviously it's a pedal... but where did they come up with the whack name?

Anybody ever own any of the Yorkville Bass Amp stuff from the 90s or 00s. -especially the YB400? I A/B's this stuff with surprising results all the time to Eden, Hartke, Ampeg, GK etc -and it was 1/2 or 2/3rds the price.

Most underrated bass gear ever -and they're Canadian, so you get a thank you with your purchase.

I sure hope I'm not the only one who gets that "Blues Crab" is just a pun off of "Blue Crab". And I think "Rock Lobster" would be a suitable name for the sister pedal if Mooer ever decides to make it into a duel overdrive.
Once I had myself a million, now I've only got a dime.
Difference don't seem quite as bad today.
With a nickel or a million I was searchin' all the time
For something that I never lost or left behind.

Dunno. My bud saw someone in that general genre ('90s hard rocking cool alternative band that is touring again or still) this winter and texted me all excited that the dude was playing a Marauder. He had never seen one besides mine. I just can't remember who it was, he goes to a lot of shows. He lives in Cleveland, I live in the boonies...

BTW, isn't the Blues Crab a knockoff of the Boss Blues Driver circuit? If they put out a Rock Lobster I would totally get one of each and run them side-by-side!

A friend of mine has an older Yorkville combo. BMT-something, I think. (Maybe it was YB-something.) It's one of the best sounding bass amps I've ever heard. It has 15" and a tweeter. The strange thing is, if you go to Yorkville's website, they've gotten completely out of the bass amp market. Just seems weird given that they made such a great product.

They exited the guitar market in the 70s when they were in the middle of making some of the best amps too -they were called Traynor then

Except my Traynor is actually a bass amp. Basically like a Bassman, used for guitar.

Yorkville was Traynor? I didn't know that. Shoot! I gave a Traynor tube bass head away when I moved to Florida because it was so heavy.

Edit: It may not have been tube. Was a long time ago.

We have a Blue Crab festival every year here in Florida. But I've never heard of Crab Blues. But I'm sure there's lots of things I haven't heard of.
