I had this happen on my Kramer with an OFR. Original saddle blocks too. I've replaced then, and a few other bits too, so the Floyd is in great shape. I haven't tightened the strings down that tight since, and I hardly play it anyway.

I prefer the pink ones to be real tight.

Sometimes, overtightening is the least of your worries.

You need to be more specific, because your photo isn't telling us anything.

You have to be smarter than the guitar.

Iím not really sure what weíre looking at here either...
The hex bolt looks like it might be a little long but the clamp isnít installed here so itís hard to tell...

The threads are perpendicular to to the mounting face.

They are supposed to be perpendicular to the clamping face.

It's likely that more slipped past QC like this.

Are you sure? How would you machine the base to accept an angled bolt thread?
Iíve got a handful of Floyd guitars and Iím fairly certain the nut assembly looks like what youíve got in your pic....of course next time I head downstairs Iím going to have to check!!!

Heres what i do to save time and save you pulling hairs.

BLOCK THE BRIDGE!!! Make sure bridge is level with body.

Only then you can change strings, stretch them abit and retune.
    Leave bridge BLOCKED.

Lock the nut and and retune.

    UNBLOCK the bridge. Dont retune!!

adjust the bridge angle by adjusting the spring tension until you get the tuning pretty close.
Only then you can retune the guitar to perfection using the finetuners.

This will save you alot of time.
