    Default Tasmanian Myrtle Florentine OM

    Hi all,
finished this one this morning, Finally!! Florentine OM 25" scale

    Tasmanian Myrtle Back and Sides
    Englemann Spruce soundbaord
    Qld Maple/ebony/silky Oak/purpleheart neck
Ebony Fretboard with Bloodwood Binding and Zebrano Leaf inlay MOP side dots
Ebony Bridge and Bindings, with 6 layers of purfling on the sides, and 3 layers on the top and back

She sounds really lovely, I took the board and bracings about as far as I could structurally...

As always a real pleasure to see your guitars- only regretting that we can't play 'em.

Looks stunning! Never seen Tasmanian myrtle before. Looks quite different from PNW myrtle. Love your use of the Schaller Grand Tunes. I've put three sets on various flamencos and like them a lot. If she sounds as good as she looks... she's a world beater.

Was it a hard piece to find? Or was it just what was around? Or what? What tonality does that brand of Spruce impart. Looks like a super tight grain???

I get a lot of spruce from Alaska,
The guys there are really good,
Yeah, very tight grain, and even..the tap tone was also very musical..it all helps

Looks gorgeous and I've been impressed by the tone of the Myrtle guitars I've played. The subtle flame across the tight grain of the top looks amazing as well.
