That's certainly not the pickup that came with it, which should have been Burstbucker Pros.

The 3 L-branded Guitar and Bass pickups are wound by the Korean p'up factory G&B, and indicate the cheapest line, used in sub- $100.00 instruments.

Can be used with success as fancy paperweights, unless the room temperature is over 90 F, when the wax-potting starts to melt.

    You asked...

Thank you Peter, for the so far most plausable answer,i've seen hundreds of pups, G&B included and they all had 1 thing in common, they had G&B STAMPS lol,,,my google-ing has produced no results for 3L ,,,was swapped out for a Slash ALN2 it isn't about how cheap or not it is,,, sounded like a p90 so i was curious. You get 3 tins of lutefisk for your answer,, i still cannot find a photo of another example , perhaps its that terrible ha ! cheers

Some of the really cheap pickups are basically a single coil in a humbucker casing - could be one of those deals giving it a p90 vibe.
