    Default Randall RG1503-212

I recently purchased a Randall RG1503 in the convenient 2x12 format. Has anybody tried speaker swapping on one of these? I am primarily concerned with sonics.

I'm currently running my Randall RH200 through a 2x12 cab with an Eminence Texas Heat/Swamp Thang pair. I love it.
Still, have you given the stock speakers a try? What don't you like about them?

I haven’t spent enough time with it to know yet, but I like to pre-load my next plan when it comes to things like this. I’d like to get a mini consensus, if I can, on a few speakers that have worked well.

I can relate to that. Texas Heat/ Swamp Thang pair handles 300 Watts. Nice and clear, plenty of punch and low end.

I recently went through several speakers in my Randall 2x12, trying to replace the G12-65s I wore out after decades of beating on them.
I wound up with the odd combo of one Eminence Legend V12 and one Guitar Speaker Warehouse Veteran 30.

May I ask how you came up with this combination?

    Sure!
I bought a WGS Veteran 30 and ET-65 because the internet swears that's a great combo. I hated it. Tried a Tonker (recommended by Eminence based on what I said I was looking for) and didn't like it, either. Picked up a V-12 based on someone here's recommend. Liked it, bought another. Two V-12s was just too flat sounding. So before selling off the others I tried each one with the V-12. The Tonker & ET-65 were both "nope" but the Veteran 30 sounded really good with the V-12.
I thought I hated the Vet30 but it was actually the ET that was annoying my ears.
I think the V12 and Vet30 are similar enough to get along but different enough to compliment each other?

Of course other players might hate them but the combo sounds really good to me: Tight, thick, chunky palm mutes with no flub, good sustain, and no ice pick highs or honky mids. I don't like bright, I like thick.

Not THAT bad. I was setting you up for a punchline in case you has one ready. Maybe a meme...

Nah, sorry, a swing and a miss. Too early on a Monday morning, and that one could cross the line too easily.

I just like them nice, and smooth, you decide. FWIW, I have a Classic Lead 80 in my 1-12 cab.
