Jake Morelli

Jake Morelli has been creating music his entire life. He’s a third-generation professional musician who learned from his father and grandfather (both drummers). At four years old, his dad would bring him into local NY establishments to play guitar and sing the blues (while they passed around a cowboy hat to earn $ for video games). Another one of his music mentors was his godfather Howie Blauvelt, who played bass and sang with Billy Joel and the Hassels, as well as Ram Jam (“Black Betty”). He’s taken these formative influences and become a producer, musical director, songwriter, educator, multi-instrumentalist, international performer, and engineer.

Morelli has worn many hats over the years such as current Governor for the Philadelphia Chapter of the Grammys, Music Director, studio ace, to Brand Ambassador for many, as well as working for artists such as Stevie Wonder, Jonas Brothers, Bruno Mars, The Roots, NEYO, Grace Potter, Hunter Hayes, Roberta Flack, Queen Latifah, Kathy Sledge, Quincy Jones, Esperanza Spalding, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Lauryn Hill, Nicole Scherzinger (Pussycat Dolls), Rodney Holmes (Santana), K’Naan, Musiq Soulchild, Vivian Green, Chubb Rock, Kindred the Family Soul, Jon B, Chico DeBarge, Brass Heaven, Cash $, Floetry, & T.M Stevens to name a few. He has performed live on many radio stations worldwide, as well as NBC (Jimmy Kimmel), Welcome to America, ABC (Regis & Kelly), FOX, TBN, ESPN, MTV, and VH1 (Soul City).
