Customer Service Technician

Key Responsibilities:
The Customer Service Technician reports to the Director of Sales and serves as the primary day-to-day inbound communications contact for Seymour Duncan and as the technical point of contact for various departments within Seymour Duncan. The Customer Service Technician will help develop and grow our business and nurture long-term customer relationships by responding to all inquiries by phone, email, in person and on the web. The Customer Service Technician will also be responsible for product installation and demonstration, while maintaining custodial responsibility for all musical related equipment and workspaces. This position requires a strong working knowledge of guitars and guitar gear. Considering both full-time and part-time positions.

  • Respond to and resolve inbound consumer issues and questions in real time
  • Issue and process warranty returns and exchanges
  • Perform pickup installs in guitars and basses
  • Set up and maintain pedal boards and effects pedal demo stations
  • Maintain amplifiers and organize ancillary equipment in the Sound Room
  • Prepare for and participate in new products listening tests and troubleshooting sessions
  • Assist with Custom Shop and direct-to-consumer orders processing and support
  • Handle overflow of authorized dealer and artist orders and inquiries
  • Oversee library of wiring diagrams and create new diagrams as needed
  • Continually audit, create, catalog, and improve all web-based customer support tools
  • Assist in market and product research
  • Identify opportunities for support related online customer and dealer content
  • Actively participate in the creation of a knowledge database
  • Perform other duties as determined by manager
