Bobby's Bio

Bobby Messano is a legendary studio and live guitarist/singer who has garnered Nineteen First Round Grammy ballots, released five contemporary Blues CDs and placed songs in major TV and Cable shows. The celebrated guitarist has played on records by Clarence Clemmons, Franke & The Knockouts, Joe Lynn Turner and STARZ, and produced the 60’s hit act, “THE SHADOWS OF KNIGHT”. Live he has played guitar and been the music director for Steve Winwood, Lou Gramm and more.Bobby has played or co-headlined BAMFEST, Blues At The Beach, The Charlston Blues Festival, Smokin’ In Steel, Summerfest Charlotte Speed Street and Blues Brews & BBQ, Blues At The Beach. His CD “Holdin’ Ground” garnered a 1st round Grammy nod and his first LIVE CD, “LIVE IN MADISON” was released in 2010 and also received a 1st Round Grammy nod. The follow-up CD “that’s why i don’t sing the blues” got six 1st Round Grammy ballots in four categories.He ended the year with “that’s why I don’t sing the blues” being named 2012 TOP BLUES/ROCK ALBUM (USA) by Blues Underground Network and on December 22nd 2012,Bobby was inducted into the “BLUES HALL OF FAME”. The followup CD “WELCOME TO DELTAVILLE” was released on July 3rd 2013 and garnered eight 1st round ballots. The new CD Love & Money will be released in April of 2015
