Biography

Double Experience bounce between sounds in a quest to compose music as diverse as an arcade gallery. The genre-pinballing is unified with their quirky lyrical subject matter that ranges from artificial intelligence, tabletop gaming, comic books, and more. In 2020, Double Experience released Alignments, a trilogy of EP's containing songs that matched all nine alignments from the DUNGEONS & DRAGONS tabletop franchise. The album received critical acclaim and earned the band two Capital Music Award nominations for "Album of the Year" and "Band of the Year". Alignments was recorded at Warrior Sound Studios in North Carolina and was co-produced by both band members along with Al Jacob. Mere months after vocalist and bassist Ian Nichols and guitarist Brock Tinsley formed a band, they were co-writing and recording music with Jayson Dezuzio (IMAGINE DRAGONS). A relentless touring regime followed for years to come, totaling over a dozen countries by the time the band were ready to record their 2016 album “Unsaved Progress”. Soon after, they landed on the radar of video game developer Bungie via their DESTINY-inspired anthem "The Glimmer Shot". Double Experience music has been featured everywhere from terrestrial radio to theme music for streamers and podcasts. Presently, Double Experience regularly livestream on Twitch, performing music and writing songs with their global fanbase. In early 2022, the band were selected by Twitch and Tunecore to join a coalition of musicians and creatives known as The Collective.
