I need to repair my old telecaster pickup without touching the solder joint on the switch what can I do?

One neat thing about the old cloth braid push back wire is that you can slide it back from the solder joint about 1/2″. Then you can carefully snip the stranded 22 gauge lead wires at 1/2″ away from the switch solder joint. After you work on your pickup and put the wires through the body channels you are ready to reconnect the wires. Again slide the cloth braid back from the end you cut off and carefully tin or lightly solder the stranded wires at the end of your pickup. Now carefully solder the two connections using a short and minimal amount of heat to make a connection After you have a solid connection that’s free of burr’s, slide the cloth braid wire over the connection. By doing this procedure will keep the solder joints original and neat looking.

Please check your items carefully and confirm they are correct for color, position, etc. We are not able to accommodate order changes or cancellations once you have completed the check out process.
