The neck pickup on my gibson always overpowers my bridge pickup, what can I do?

Last Updated on October 17th, 2019

You can try raising the bridge pickup and lowering the neck pickup if at all possible. I’ve often seen neck pickups with a higher DC resistance than the bridge pickup. The neck pickups are normally louder as compared to the bridge pickup because the strings vibrate more in that area. Both pickups are wound basically the same for the neck and bridge position on older models and pickups are now calibrated for both positions. The bridge pickups are given a few more turns to increase the output and give a better balance when both pickups are used.

Please check your items carefully and confirm they are correct for color, position, etc. We are not able to accommodate order changes or cancellations once you have completed the check out process.
