What are the different kinds of magnets?

The most common are:

Cobalt Steel: various grades- 3 1/2%, 3%, 17%, 36%.
Alnico: common grades- 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 5DG, 6, 8, 8HC, 9.
Sintered Alnico: various grades- 2, 5, 6, 8, 8HC.
Ceramic: various grades- 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
Cunife: various grades- 1, 2.
Vicalloy: common grade- 1
Remalloy
Rare Earth Cobalt
Each type of magnet has various grades and compositions that change the strength and workability of that particular magnet.
