The Alinco II Pro™HB’s are a great addition to my PRS SE. The stock pickups just didn’t cut it and made it an unplayable guitar and put it on the bench. After installing the Alinco II Pro™ HB this guitar is on fire! I love it!

Love the Alnico 2 Pro’s. They sound absolutely amazing and look so cool in Zebra and reverse zebra in my Trans Amber LP. And a BIG thank you to Dennis and the guys who helped me trouble shoot some wiring issues I was having.

I put the APH-1n and the TB APH-1B in a Schecter C-1 FR. Amazing sounds, rocking and clean. Excellent natural sustain. I used the pup height suggestion under the Forum and it was just the right balance. The 14" neck radius is really fast, but the notes are very articulated. I was surprised at how it brings out the subtle dynamics in the delay settings. Easy to install, should've done this years ago.

I have tried many brands and models and I definitely stick with these. Sound with very rich natural compression. Personally, I would have liked the one on the bridge to have more output.

Love these pickups... Added to my SG and they sound great. This is my second install of Alnico 2 Pro Humbuckers. Great sound.... Excellent install instructions and documentation, as well.

Awesome pickup

Fit my sg clone with no problems a little more towards the bass end of the spectrum then I had expected but still sounds great. Clean sounds really good as well as a nice classic rock sound I have paired it with a dimebucker so I have a nice range of tone to play with

I'm a long time Hot Rodded Humbucker set guy when I build guitars. They are great, reliable and "used" to be my favorite until I ended up with a used set of Alnico II Pro's. WOW! The sustain on these things are insane! I describe them as "Hairy" HrH's. Now I only want to use these in builds!

Partendo dal fatto che . Ogni pick up seymour duncan ,è una garanzia di qualità . Ma questi in particolare sono i miei preferiti . Molto orientati verso gli anni 80. Super definiti . Meglio anche degli aph-2 secondo me . E li ho entrambi . Mi sono così tanto piaciuti che ho preso 3 set per le mie chitarre , e ad ognuna a cui li ho montati ,hanno fatto un enorme salto di qualità . Sono pickup che suonano proprio da Appetite for Destruction

SD Alnico II Pro HB neck is a great pick up. It is a bit more rounded than the "59 (which also sounds great, but the '59 definitely has more note separation). The Pro II has more rounded notes so jazz runs tend to blend together much better than the '59. Pick up height is also important to get the most out of any PU, for the Pro II I run them down almost even with the mounting ring. I also remove the 6th string pole screw, and that evens out the bass a lot better, for me any way. Based on the quality of the product and quality of the sound, Seymour got these two pick ups right, you can't go wrong.

Love this in the neck of my PRS Santana SE - far superior to the OEM pup.

I play mostly clean guitar and these pickups have the perfect soundscape for the kind of music I play - worship, jazz, R&B, etc. They also sound great with overdrive. The Alnico II magnets also impart a tube like slight compression that works very well with solid state amps.

Versatile pickups with low string pull as advertised. Seems to result in a natural sound.

Buttery rich leads, which is what I want out of the neck pickup in a Les Paul.

I fought finding a tone I liked for months with a new guitar and after a couple different sets of pickups landed on these and holy hell these things are SWEET!

I purchased the set of the Alnico 2 Pro for one of my ESP LTD EC-256 guitars.Sweet thick soulful tone oozes out of these pickups!!! Warm, articulate but not shrill.Great for clean Jazz and Blues tones but can get thick soulful searing lead tones........ala Gary Moore "Still got the Blues" type of tones. These are awesome pickups and will do any guitar justice for upgrades.

They are good

The neck pickup is real boomey on the e and a string and the bridge pickup is super bright. Not really the sound I am looking for but now I will have to make do. Probably the guitar as much as the pickups.

Really like this pickup for the neck. Clean and clear - almost a strat-like clean sound with more depth. Classy. I find I'm really enjoying alnico II pickups.

Sounds great! A little darker than the Slash pickups. Could be the covers or the guitar but rolls the highs off just a little. Better in my opinion.

I haven't put the pickup in, yet. I bought it to hot rod my new "Fire Fly LP", But they looks great. I got the gold mesh cover. And I know it will sound amazing, It's a Seymour Duncan.

I bought these pickups from Reverb but wanted to leave a review here. I tried several different kinds of pickups in my PRS DGT before settling on the APH1 set. The original DGT pickups are great and part of what sold me on the guitar, but over time I realized they weren’t ideal for me. They were too hot and too thick. I wanted something with lower output, something that sounded more traditional, and something that would fit in a mix better. The DGT pickups might accomplish this better with the volume rolled back and played through real amps, but I use the Kemper Profiling Amplifier exclusively and I wasn't satisfied with how the Kemper and DGT worked together. I tried various Seymour Duncan pickups. The 59 set was too thin, the JB/Jazz combo was too hot and too spikey in the upper mids, but the Alnico II Pro APH1 set was just right. I found my Goldilocks pickups and I couldn’t be happier. I play classic rock, blues, pop, and worship music. These pickups work well for all these styles. I can’t comment on how well they work for metal because I don’t play metal. I chose the APH1s over the Slash’s APH2s because I didn’t want the Slash set’s added mids. By the way, I put the SH-1 59 pickups in my PRS McCarty 594 and they sound fantastic. I think the two-piece bridge on the 594 gives the sound more depth. The trem system on the DGT lacks that depth which is why I didn’t like the 59s in the DGT. The APH1s pair very nicely with the PRS trem system, in my option. They don’t sound too bright and they fill in nicely with the perfect amount of mids.

This pickup really nails the Sweet Child o Mine lead tone. Crisp, warm, smooth and rich, this is an excellent choice for a neck pickup.

I tried Pearly Gates cause I’d heard so much about that one, and the lil 59, and the JB but they all have too much top end sizzle. I called SD and explained what I was looking for and Dennis steared me right 🙂 SO NICE WHEN I GET TO TALK WITH REAL PEOPLE. This pickup blends really well (very PAF) with the hot Texas special at the neck.

This humbucker leaves nothing to be desired.
