Product Details

Description

The Benedetto A-6 is a fat, punchy humbucker that produces a fat, warm, yet highly articulate Jazz tone. At almost 12k, the A-6 packs a bigger punch than the P.A.F. model, and the alnico 5 bar magnet gives it a very musical treble response.

Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA, the Benedetto A6 uses an alnico 5 bar magnet, 4-conductor lead wire, and is available with either a gold cover or a black nickel cover.

After installing the Benedetto A6

After installing the Benedetto A6 in my custom made that I made, it was what it needed for the body tone. Rich tone and fullness that sings like a true jazz guitar. Bridge position has the Alternative 8 and together they do the job. Well done ,Seymour Duncan pickups. Tony Questell / Palm Coast, Florida

Put it into my refinished

Put it into my refinished 1966 Guild X500 in the neck position to replace the Benedetto B6 which was creating a ground hum. Already had an A6 in the bridge. The combination of the 2 Benedetto A6's is fantastic great rich jazz tone with a punch.

Awesome Pup

Love the warm, soft mids and highs produced by the Benedetto A6 on my Eastman 580 arch top. Absolutely an excellent upgrade!

Amazing PU

I put it into the neck position of my Custom made Echopark J Guitar which has an Arcane Jazzmaster PU in the bridge position, 300 kohm Pots, etc and a Mastery Jazzmaster Trem. I use the guitar a lot for playing Jazz as well as studio work and the Benedetto A6 which I also use split works wonder in this guitar which is Semiacoustic with a Swamp Ash body and a Maple Neck with Ebony fretboard. Now I seamlessly transform from Sonic Youth to Barney Kessel, with Frisellean Overtones available, and also can resort to Hejira Era Larry Carlton 335 tones when I need to. I use these comparisons just to illustrate my applications. I am my own player, but these gentlemen were highly appreciated when I was learning(still am). One of my serendipitous modifications. Been using a vast array of SD since decades. Even commissioned MJ to make me a set of the 35the Anniversary set since I missed out on the 35 guitar, but had my own one made using the exact appointments by Stefan Zirnbauer st Stevens Guitars in Munich which is very much in use..
