Description

This 3 pickup set will give your Strat into the ultimate versatile workhorse guitar with its wide variety of tonal options. The JB Jr. bridge model will take your Strats bridge position to a whole new level. This high output single coil sized humbucker will give you nice crunchy chords, and screaming lead tone with that classic upper midrange cut. There will be tons of bright harmonic sparkle, and a tight focused low end.

The middle position Duckbucker is there to add that sparkly single coil tone in positions 2, 3, & 4. Its unique, split-pole pattern with 3 poles on each coil, also contributes to the single coil bounciness and snappy low end. The Little 59 in the neck position has a nice, balanced P.A.F.-like response for big, full chords, and fat, punchy solos. It has that pleasing blend of warmth and bite when you dig in.

Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA, these pickups all use a ceramic bar magnet, come with a 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and are wax potted for squeal free operation.

  • All sets, except the Jimi Hendrix signature model, come with a Middle RWRP as the Middle Pickup.
  • Middle RwRP position (reverse wind/reverse polarity) – choose this to have a pickup that will be hum-cancelling with one of our neck or bridge models.

Mr

I classify myself as a intermediate jammer. When building my Strat, I decided to go for the Seymour Duncan Everything Axe set up. I’ve been playing with it now for 4 years. The versatility these pick-ups give is fantastic and I’ve not come across anything better yet (even compared to the standard gen4 noiseless push/pull stuff) Thanks Seymour Duncan, a great pick-up combination that gives a great range of sound. It really is Everything Axe 🤘🤘

Best pups EVER!!

I never imagined this kind of tonal versitality from one guitar. I love the chimey single coil sound, but love fat saturation sometimes. This set leaves nothing to be desired. It’s like having a strat and LP at your fingertips. Well done. Well done indeed!

So versatile - really great sounding - no hum.

I had been considering all sorts of boutique pickups, but ran across these when researching the JB Jr for my Music Man Cutlass to replace the stock pickups which in my mind were too bright and low output, and also didn't play well with my fuzz pedals. I really wanted to create a guitar that allowed me to cover most styles without having to switch it around. I looked at lots of reviews and sound samples to see what I was looking for and decided to give these a shot. I wish I would have done this sooner! I've seen some reviewers indicate that the Duckbucker is too weak or bright, but I didn't have any of those issues and my pickups are balanced. The Duckbucker gives me a really nice sweet Strat sound, and combines in position 2/4 really well. When combined with the Lil 59 it really sings. The Lil 59 gives a nice smooth round and warm tone, and the JB Jr. gives me enough bite on the bridge to lean into my drive pedals and create nice clean leads or crunchy rhythms but doesn't lose the characteristic of a Strat. It's not a perfect strat or Les Paul replacement, but it sounds great and gives you a tone of versatility across the pickups. To be honest, I normally have a single setting on each of my guitars that is the "sweet spot", but for this guitar I'm really enjoying the tones across the board, and the Duckbucker has made position 3 usable where I normally ignore it. I like that they are balanced and there is wiring guides available for both 1 and 2 tone pots (my Music Man is a single tone pot). Best part for me is there is virtually no-hum that I've been able to hear. I play around where my computer is, and sometimes my strat really picks up interference, this pickup set just produces guitar tone without the hum. Love it. I used .022 caps, and 250k tone pots. I did notice it was a little darker than my other, but I just turned down bass on my amp, and turned up the treble a bit, and it's right in the sweet spot for me now between warm and round. I think you could brighten it up with 500k pots if that's a concern. Also, I do have a MXR micro amp that I use that I think adds to any guitar tone, so I tend to leave that on dialed in around noon to 2pm. Last thing to mention, I'm new to soldering and planned on rebuilding my entire setup (new pots, caps, pickups, and barrel jack). I took the free Seymour Duncan class on soldering online and I learned so much. It gave me the confidence to build this project, and I'm so glad I have. Now I'm thinking about upgrading a few of my other guitars that also have

Overall very good, but hard to balance output from Duckbucker.

I put this set on my 50th Anniversary Strat.I really like the Little 59 and JB Junior. Very quiet and more punch then stock single coils. The JB Junior has lots of twang and it makes me use the bridge position more often. Overall the variety of sounds is wonderful. However, it is really hard to balance output with the middle position Duckbucker. (Note: I may just ignorant when it comes to the correct setup, etc.) When you switch to the 2 or 4 position volume goes way down. I have moved the neck and bridge pickups way down, and the middle up, but no joy. I am going to replace the middle with STK-S6.

Everything Axe set

As in all things Seymour Duncan, this set of humbuckers for Strat types is a perfect solution for the weaker output of even the best single coil. Install was easy...perfect fit. My G&L has more guts and is still clean as a stream in the High Sierras.
