Beautiful vintage PAF sound! I've installed these in my Charvel T-Style (bridge) and in my 1974 Ibanez Les Paul Custom. Great pick-ups! Highly recommend these

I thought I was just a single-coil guy until these. Holy hell! These are the crispest, fullest sounding pickups I have ever heard. The clarity is on par with my Fralin Vintage Hot Strat set, but there is an inherent fatness to the tone that is unreal. The neck pickup is just the sweetest sounding thing, and the bridge is twangy and/or nasty depending on the gain. Got these off the shelf at Guitar Center, and they make my guitar even better than it was, and I already loved the sound.

I build a lot of different electric guitars and for the majority I use Seymour Duncan pickups. The Seth Lover pickups went in a SG type guitar and the sound is so clean and was a perfect selection for the build. The Seth Lovers sound amazing!

Put a Seth Lover in the neck of my new Dean Thoroughbred select (LP style). Opened it up...more airy...cleans up but just dig in a bit and it gets edgy in a raw sort of way. Absolutely love it. Best HB I've ever played.

I have the Seth Lover Pickups in a few of my guitars. Love that pickup, but the feet are too long for my routed telecaster for the neck. Do you guys manufacture that pickup with shorter mounting feet?

I got the Seth Lover Humbucker for the neck position of my Tele and love it. I installed it with a coil splitter so i can still get a single coil sound when I want. couldn't be happier!

I've been playing the same set of Seth Lovers since I bought them new 25 years ago. The set sounds the same as they did when I first got them. No change in sound that I can tell. But they're actually better now since I have more skill in setting them up in a guitar now than before. I'd like to think my playing is better now too...which naturally makes the pickups sound better! The shiny nickel finish has held up well with just a bit of tarnish on the edges of the bridge pickup. I think this is the best deal going in a PAF style pickup. The bang for buck is incredible (especially since they were only like $85 per pickup when I bought them!) and the voicing makes them very versatile. They don't lock you in to a specific genre or sound and, instead, let your personal touch and style come through. Articulate and expressive. Excellent! Anecdotally, all the bobbins of this particular set are cream under the covers.

Built a Tele from a large white pine in my backyard that died. Not knowing how pine is going to behave as a tone wood, agonized over pickup choices. Chose this pickup for the neck and a Jerrry Donahue single coil for the bridge (combo inspired by Ed Bickert). Could not be more pleased with the tone and sustain, can't put the guitar down.

Perfect match for the antiquity 1 in my new telecaster build

I bought a set of these online through Long and Mquade (I’m from Canada) and installed these in my Gibson Les Paul in place of the 61 burstbuckers and WOW! What a difference. The burstbuckers are quite mid forward but these have such a nice balanced response. Very clear, very responsive. Well done SD! I have recommended these to other players so hopefully they get a set or two and hear the difference a proper PAF can make!

simple to find what I needed and purchase

I was looking for something nice and smooth to upgrade my Ibanez AM93QM guitar, and what I found was love at first note. The guitar sounds SO MUCH better now. It has become my favorite guitar to play because none of my other ones sound this good. So happy I decided to give this pickup a try. It's smooth, it's clean, it's got nice body, it's creamy! Everything I dreamed of when it comes to tone.

I purchased a Seth Lover Bridge to replace the 498t in my 2004 Gibson Les Paul Custom. Playing through mostly Marshall’s. Old Jmps and Plexis. The Seth Lover just has a lot more warmth and dynamics than the 498t. I personally do like the 498t but I do have it in another Les paul. Medium output around 8.1. Still has bite. I play a heavy classic rock tone. Couldn’t be more happy.

Insanely good pickups. Incredible sweetness, harmonics, balance. Made me love humbuckers and by different types of humbucker guitars and put these on them

The bridge pickup is a marvel. It can swing between singing and growling at an instant. It's the best pickup I own. Unfortunately, the neck pickup is too muddy for me. The neck pickup sounds like the bridge with the tone rolled back. It doesn't add any versatility to the guitar. I understand that this is sold as a reproduction. However, there's so much variation between vintage PAF pickups that I feel SD had the latitude to make a brighter 'authentic' PAF.

Probably the most articulate and clear PAF style pickup I’ve played, I’ve put them in multiple axes now and plan to keep doing so!

Put the Lover's in Gibson Flying V. They are fantastic! And really use all three PUP selector choices depending what I am playing. Like the voicing these are capable of giving.

Always a great experience buying direct from Seymour Duncan. Very reliable in service and product quality. I loaded 2 Seth lovers in my 03 les Paul classic and once again surprised at how good they sound for such a low price. Very articulate clean or overdriven. I don’t think they are wax potted which you may want to consider if you play loud with a lot of distortion but in the of pick ups these were designed to simulate I don’t think they needed to worrying about that. This was the sound I was looking for for my les Paul. Thank you Seymour Duncan.

Seth Lover P/U delivered on time . At the present time I have'nt had time to install it , It looks well made and should be just what I need to get the old alnico 2 sound back in my LG standerd 63 reissue that with alnico 5 P/Us in neck and bridge I will let you know when I finish insalling new P/U .

I just put the SL in the neck of my 52 reissue. I paired it with the SD Jerry Donahue in the bridge. It's the best sounding tele I've ever owned. It's so much fun to play! 10/10 would recommend on both pickups.

Wow! I replaced my 85/15’s on my PRS. They just felt a little too thin and I didn’t like the look if Zebra stripe buckers on it. The Seth Lovers look great but they sound even better! I was not expecting a big difference, it was huge! These pickups sound like I thought a humbucker should sound like. Warm, clear, smooth, percussive. They are fantastic!

Just put a set in my new 1960 60th Anniversary Les Paul V1. They’re Absolutely perfect. The LP came stock with their Gibson Custombucker Alnico III’s, the neck pickup is wonderful but the Gibson pickup just does not work for me in the bridge. Not sure about the logistics of Gibson and Seymour working together but these stock in Les Pauls should be a no brainer!

I've played a lot of pickups, and these are easily my favorites. I've got three guitars equipped with them now. How would I describe them? Like Burstbuckers with balls. They sound great for everything in blues and rock. If you want your guitar to sing with a hint of gruff, these are awesome!

Gibson should be using the Seth lover humbuckers in ALL of their les Paul’s 😎

I put a set of Seth Lovers into my 08 squier vintage modified telecaster custom, and also installed seymour duncan pots with switchcraft 3 way toggle and all new push back cloth wiring. I was blown away at how much better the guitar sounded....If your on tha fence about these do yourself a favor and get em...you won't be disappointed....

It took six weeks, but my amazing guitar repair technician here in Las Vegas finally finished rebuilding my Epiphone Joe Pass, including the addition of new Seth Lover pickups. It was worth the wait... These pickups have such a smooth, luxurious and yet comfortable and vintage sounding tone that works well both clean and with distortion.

My DBZ Bolero AB-3 had developed an intermittent issue recently. The neck pickup would cut out occasionally; sometimes overnight in it's case. After checking the switch, pots, wiring and solder joints, the OEM pickup had to be the culprit. I reviewed dozens of comparison videos before selecting a set of Seth Lovers. Now I've been playing guitar for more than 60 years, these days, mainly blues. I'm hard pressed to find the words to describe how sweet the tone is, thanks to these pickups.

These were replacements for my 2017 Epi Les Paul and I was amazed! The stock pickups while not bad just weren't meaty enough. The highs were pretty good but the mids and lows were very flat. The SD Seth Lovers with 50's wiring and pots made all of the difference in the world. Super rich tone, perfect for BTO especially and White Zombie but reallly shows it's magic in the blues too. I kept going back and forth between these and Pearly Gates but the thickness of the tone of these sold me. Epi may be a poor man's Gibson in many circles but with these pickups I'd gladly match it tone for tone against a $3000+ Gibby anyday!

I was reassembling an Ibanez Tele copy from the ‘70’s that I had cannibalized over the years. The original pickups were long gone and as I recall sounded awful anyway. After searching around, I decided on a set of Seth Lovers. After installing them I put the high E string on only and plugged the guitar in to test the electronics before fully assembling and stringing the guitar. This indescribably beautiful tone came out of just the one string and I knew I had picked a winner. It is my wife’s guitar and she is incredibly picky about tone. This Tele with the Seth Lovers has become her number 1 guitar! She has more guitars than I do and I have quite a few. At any rate I have a second set of these pickups ready to replace some burstbuckers in my ES139. I really like the burst buckets, but these Seth Lovers are magic in that Tele!

Sounds great in a Les Paul. Much better than the stock 490R.

You don’t gee any closer than this to original PAFs. They’ve got Seth Lover’s original equipment. Forget all the others...

Bought this to go with a burstbucker 2 in the bridge. Very nice compliment. Makes me wanna try a Seth lover bridge pickup. They don’t seem to cost very much for how nice of a pickup they are but that’s fine with me. I’ll be getting another one.

I am amazed at how much this set transformed my guitar. The website describes these pickups perfectly. I have been searching for the right authentic PAF tone, and the Seth Lover set nail it to my ear. They have a piano like attack which is perfect for any classic rock tone. Each string feels equally articulate and sometimes you just have to strum a chord and let it ring to appreciate the difference between these and a modern voice set. I also noticed that they distort slightly into a fuzzy tone when the tone knob is rolled back and you can find some classic sounds that I have never been able to find on modern pickups, even in the same guitar before the pickups were swapped. Think Mississippi Queen. Overall I have no complaints of value at all, my only problem with these is that the Butyrate smells awful but thankfully I have not smelled it since I installed the pickups. If you want your guitar to feel more like a vintage instrument in its response, playing sensitivity, and harmonic qualities, these are the best you can get. If you have a les paul, specifically, the Seth Lover set will make you feel like you have an original burst. I actually treasure my guitar more with these pickups in it.
