Put this on my LP and since then I am in love with this pickups: I even played mi LP right next to a Gibson burstbuckers and it delivers that PAF sound

I bought these '59s for my PRS 7-string and I have to say, they sound phenomenal! They have tightened up the bottom end and have a much broader spectrum of frequencies than the awful factory ceramic pickups! Well done Seymour Duncan!!

Great in the neck position

Excellent pickup, I have always wanted to add this to my Ibanez AS93FML. This pick compliments my Seymour Duncan Jazz model neck perfectly.

It sounds so much better than I could have hoped. I was a bit unsure about trying it out, since it's a different tone profile than I normally buy, but a lot of reviews strongly recommended this for a semi-hollow, and wow, they were right. It brought the guitar from a soft 6/10 to a 9/10 easily! (Not higher because the guitar itself isn't perfect). Very satisfied with this pup.

Great! Five Stars! I Love the sounds from the '59 bridge pickup. Matches perfectly with the Seymour Duncan '59 Neck pickup I installed a few months earlier. These pickup's transformed my PRS Zach Myers SE from a very good guitar to a great guitar. I love the tones I get with these pickups from warm jazz tones, blues, to classic rock. I never like the middle switch position (both pickups) of the original PRS pickups, with the '59 pickups the tones are fantastic. Thank you Seymour Duncan!

I've been buying and using SD 59's for years,and they just never fail to improve my guitar's tone and make it come alive. These days there are 100 guitar pup manufacturers, and maybe/probably some of them would make me even happier, but I'm unwilling to spend the money trying all of them to determine that. I'm always happy with my 59's, so why complicate my life?!

No photos of the '59 trembucker (yet). I'm attaching one with an AH Metal Fatigue in bridge (thanks MJ!), but that's now replaced by the recently arrived '59 to match my '59 neck. Metal Fatigue: more gain than I could possibly need, and a decidedly non-Holdsworthian tonality, despite the English horn comparison it is a... beast of ill temper. Strat body, Warmoth neck. Callaham trem block, ObsidianWire harness. The Holdsy strat and I are much happier with a '59 trembucker. Thank ye kindly!

I put the '59 model in the neck of my PRS Mccarty 594 and paired it with the JB bridge.... it's magic! Seymour Duncan really makes the best pickups out there!

Installed the 59' Custom Hybrid in the bridge and 59' Model in the neck to give this Les Paul an incredible transformation into a new world of ultimate tone variations using the split coil setup. Seymour Duncan hit a grand slam with these pups.

I had a SD 59 in the neck position of a Big Apple Strat and it was the best sounding neck pickup I ever used. I'm building a parts guitar (a hybrid Tele) from Warmoth parts. I'm putting a Twang Banger in the bridge, a vintage flat Strat in the middle, and the 59 in the neck position (like a Nashville Tele).

Had the 59 neck for years and love it, but I had it matched with the Custom 5. Though I liked the C5 it never had quite the sound I was looking for. Guess I should have trusted the SD team to make the best match. The bridge 59 sounds great and has more output than I thought it would. sounds great clean and with high OD!

Looks great. Matches the hot strat stack pickups in my HSS strat, but I'm not finished yet with the build though.

As expected, balances very well with the ‘59 neck position in one of my Les Pauls. Plenty of punch and clarity. Love it!

I’ve always trusted and used 59’s and little 59’s. There’s a PAF goodness in tone land I never wanna leave. Either clean, dirty or overdriven/distortion, it will never disappoint. My Les Paul’s sound the way a Les Paul should sound. My Strats sounds like Strats without losing the “Strat” sound. When playing both Strats and LP’s, I’m rewarded with relentless response and clarity!

I have the 59 in three or four of my teles and one strat...all in the neck position. There is a reason....this pick up covers clean, crunch and distortion with the best of them and may even be the best. Seymour hit the bulls eye with this one.

The ‘59 model pickup was a lucky find for me. I needed a new bridge pickup and purchased the JB based on input from reviews as well as the recommendations of friends who play and knew I needed a bridge pickup capable of maintaining clarity and articulation under high-gain, and I wanted a nice pickup to go with it. The ‘59 in the neck is a common pairing, so I said “What the Hell” and bought it, almost as an afterthought. Well, how fortuitous for me- I love that ‘59! In point of fact, I find myself playing on the neck pickup more than I used to, and have opened up my playing quite a lot, because I like the sound of that pickup so much and want to use it more. Frankly, I’m thrilled with it. The ‘59 is just a fantastic quality PAF pickup and I’m pleased with my purchase.

This was the tone I was looking for. Direct mounted into my Schecter Banshee Elite. Despite taking some online heat for removing the Sustainiac pickup, I'm very happy I made the swap! Paired with a JB bridge, this really brought my guitar to life. Also a very speedy delivery from Seymour Duncan despite the holidays.

The '59 is a standard for good reasons; it's balanced, creamy tones match well with many bridge pickups. I don't play on the neck pickup that much (usually for lead work), but when I do, I need it to stay as articulated as possible while being fat at the same time. The '59 does a great job.

The JB is my favorite pickup and just has "the" sound I love while showcasing the tone of the guitar. It can do anything and sound great. This is my 4th guitar I installed the JB.

The custom 5 I put into my SG is just a bit too hot. The 59 in the bridge goes well with the 59n and gives me the classic rock and blues sounds I'm after. A little drive and I can push it into harder rock with ease.

I love vintage tone. If I could design a pickup exclusively to my own tastes, it would turn out being a Seymour Duncan 59. This makes my guitar just what I want it to be.

I wish I could be surprised about the workmanship and tone from these pickups, but all four of my electric guitars have some type of SD pickups in them. SD is my go-to company for quality pick-ups.

My favorite pups ever!!

They sound great. Just note that they have long mounting legs compared to most SD pickups. I ran into a little problem getting them mounted in a thin Mustang body guitar. Basically had to grind the mounting screws just short enough so that they didn't touch the bottom of the pickup cavity... but indeed they did fit, but barely. Probably better suited for a thicker body guitar like an LP or something! Very nice sounding pickups though. Very clear voicing.

The SD '59 I purchased is living very happily in my strat - it's superb: totally balanced, with adequate output to drive my Mesa's front end. Just as importantly, the '59 is a necessary counterpart to the AH Metal Fatigue I have installed in bridge position. Another pleasant discovery is that both pickups function surprisingly well in split (single) coil mode, with barely audible RF noise/hum. I'm most grateful.

Great pickup. Easy to install for a beginner who never worked on a guitar before. Sounds great! This replaced the single coil pickup in a tele. This one is much warmer and fuller.

I have an amazing 35-year-old Kramer/Mighty Mat strat that needed some love - so I put in this classic 59 Humbucker because after reading the history on the Seymour Duncan page how could I not. Plus it's the roots of EVH's sound. While on the SD website I signed up for the installation course and learned so much!!! Because I knew the '59 had the single wire with the ground on the outside. I installed it in about 5 minutes and when I fired it up I fell in love!!! What a beautiful sounding pickup - and that's not just a "pickup line" - (rimshot) Amazing pickup!!! Can't recommend it enough.

I really like this pickup. I am installing in the neck position of most of my guitars. There is a subtle, hard to describe quality in the clean tone that works for me.

The pinnacle of pickups. This is like dumping a hot bowl of creamy soup on your guitar and playing it with the fingers of an angel. Seymour and I go waaaay back. Not really waaaaaay back, just about a week when I ordered it, and it wasn't Seymour himself I was interfacing with, it was just his website. Yet I like to pretend that I am one player in the long line of players that have used these pickups.

I Love it. I've been using a JB in my Les Paul Custom for a few years. With an output 16. I felt it was hiding the true sound of the instrument. I already have a 59 in the neck. So a matching set was the way to go. My guitar opened right up. I play through a hot rodded early 90's Peavey Classic 30. It's pure heaven!

This is one great pick up! Excellent clean and distortion sound with really good note separation, and smooth note blending at the same time. It is in at least three of my guitars at this point for a reason.

Sweet warm tone perfect neck pick up!

I got everything I wanted out these pickups. They can bounce between a decent hard rock and metal tone pretty well. But can deal with the cleans as well. Completely refreshed the guitar and gave it new life.

Good but a little twangy and the amount of bass frequency is pretty damn high. Nice and punchy, but some darkness from the bass tones mixed with some of the twangier treble response gives it a little too much of a dramatic scooped midrange frequency. I took the 59 and swapped out the pole magnets and bar magnets with Alnico II combined with a 250k pot and it sweetened up the tone significantly and trimmed the bass response a shade.

The SG is a rawk machine. But I also needed the PUPS to clean all the way up for ambient stuff. Jazz in the neck, '59 in the bridge. Both love heavy overdrive as well. That's all the range I need. Sweet. Bob Blase

I'm a "classics" person, so for my first aftermarket pickup installation I wanted the classic combo of JB in the bridge and '59 in the neck. I'm very happy with the entire experience.

Great pickups for an sg

Love them both in my ‘20 Les Paul. The Screamin’ Demon has just the right amount of grunt for me. A little hotter than a regular style PAF but not too hot like a Duncan Distortion or a JB. As for the ‘59 in the neck position, it’s just that classic LP tone. They’re really just the perfect combo. They were easy to install with no headaches thanks to your great video series. Will be doing some more swapping and experimentation in the future.

I replaced the 498T humbucker with a Seymour Duncan '59 in my Gibson SG Standard, and WOW! Night and day difference in tone. The '59 has more clarity throughout tone spectrum and doesn't get muddy at all. I play blues, rock from all decades, as well as metal from 70s to 90s. The '59 sounds spectacular with any amount of gain. I read copious amounts of reviews and watched a multitude of online video reviews to assist with choosing which neck humbucker to use. I'm very pleased with the Seymour Duncan combination of '59 and Dimebucker in my Gibson SG Standard, and I highly recommend this combination and certainly recommend Seymour Duncan pickups, the only aftermarket brand I'll put in my guitars.

I’ve only had them installed for less than 24 hours but the tone of my H-575 is definitely much improved. No problems with the installation and when I had a question about height adjustment I heard back with an answer in less than 8 hours! Great customer service. I do have one suggestion (not a complaint). It would have been worth it to me to pay extra for 3 day shipping. I wish that option had been offered to me. thanks! jim

These are nice full PAFs, and the coil split on the 4c model is quite nice too, much thicker sound when split than I expected. They have a lot of range too.

I tend to use SH-4s in my guitars. This time i went for a 59 as i thought it’d pair better with the antiquity i have in neck position. Spot on. The 59 is expressive and articulate; great response and let’s the wood/character of the guitar as well as the nuances of your playing shine through..

Amazing! I really don't think there is anything else to say. I put the 59 and the JB into my Dean Thoroughbred (Les Paul style). Its a solid body that I play through my Marshall DSL100H.... The only negative is I have to stop playing to go to work!!!!. Pickups make a big difference. Do the research.

The Seymour Duncan 59 neck pick up was one of the pick ups in my very first electric guitar and I have been chasing that tone ever since. So glad to finally have my tone back.

I had a DuncanDesign PU and replaced it with the 59 and the sound is so much meatier. It just completely overhauled my sound and has given my playing new life and fresh ideas. Crazy how that happens.

These pups rock. They sound great with clean and overdriven amps. Lots of rich even-order harmonics. Low end is nice and tight. They are wax potted so they won't squeal at higher gain settings; very reliable. The middle position actually sounds good and is usable, unlike with many lesser humbucker sets.

Bridge position replacement for Fender Custom Shop Texas Special set. 500k volume, 250k neck tone, 500k bridge tone. Bridge coil split and neck Gilmour switch. The '59 gives me exactly what I wanted from it.

I went to Guitar Center to get a Seymour Duncan SH1N 59 model for my Schecter Damien Special. Normally they'd have it in stock but this one did not. I went right to the source...Seymour Duncan...and ordered one right from their online store. It shipped right away and I had it a few days later. I installed it right before a rehearsal. My reasoning behind the SH1N was because I'm a Nuno Bettencourt fan and already had a Wilde/Bill & Becky L500-L in the bridge, thus I wanted to have the exact pickup compliment as Nuno. This is probably the best sounding neck pickup I've ever used. By itself it sounds nice and round like a neck humbucker should. It also contrasts extremely well when used with the L500-L. With both pickups the amp cleans up perfectly with the guitar volume knob. A wide range of tones can easily be had throughout the entire guitar volume pot range. By far the best neck pickup I've ever used.

I have had guitar endorsements with just about every company worth talking about. I currently work with both of the big two- I have never sought a pick-up endorsement before... Thank pick-up is the has me ready to put a ring on it, and lock it down forever- The sound you want, the sound you need...idk why you would need anything else-

I bought this set a few months ago. Once you are used to it, difficult to hear other pickups. Amazing sound ! Just powerfull enough for all kind of styles. I can do everything with this in my HSH guitar, jazz, blues, progressive, fusion, rock, even metal...name it SH1 set do it !
