I had gotten a Squier P-Bass for $160.00 with the intention to make it as close to a 60's/70's P-Bass as I could Knowing Seymour Duncan makes pickups that are period accurate, I don't think anyone else is doing that, Iwas pretty sure I could pull that off. No way can I afford the real McCoy from Fender so lets do the best we can and have fun doing it. So on this cheap, well built and in pretty good shape bass that for the price of the Antiquity II pickup I would only spend close to the cost of a new Squier Affinity P-Bass. So with a set of La Bella 1954 flat wounds and the antiquity this low cost bass it inceredible, smoothe, with a lot of bite. We can never go wrong installing Seymour Duncans Thanks Seymour Duncan

Full, Even and Solid

I wanted an old school P bass pickup that didn't go anywhere a vintage P would go. I have had replacement pickups that added zing or grind and lost some of the bottom fluff. So knowing there was a focus on recreating a 60s vintage vibe in look, materials, and sound, I pulled the trigger on these. I have not regretted the decision. Whatever my approach - fingers, pick, thumb or Brian Wilson downstroke thumb - this pickup sounds just right. I am happy. A great pickup.
