I have been wanting to upgrade my pickups for a couple years and was leaning toward the pearly gates set. Then I came across the green magics and was intrigued by the out of phase aspect of the middle position. I have happy I went with this set. They added volume, grit, and are well balanced.

Wired using 50’s style with Bumble Bee .022uf cap in the bridge and a .047uf Bumbel Bee in the neck- amazingly clean tone - The pickups are awesome and provide the tone I was hoping for. The “one option” shipping that Setmour Duncan offers- it is the pits!! I was building another Les Paul for a customer and it took 7 days to arrive from a distance of 400 miles. Totally frustrating and even though Seymour Duncan has great pickups they need to deal with customer requirements for alternative shipping options. If another vendor has the pickups you want purchase them through them - That was not an option for me and the manufacturer lacks big time on customer needs for alternative shipping - very frustrating!! Not that hard to provide other shipping options so get on it Seymour Duncan!!!

They are everything and more I wanted out of them. Very happy to have them in my les paul. The legend and mystery of the Peter green pickup arrangement in a gibson les paul is everything everyone said it would be. True vintage paf alnico II sound, clear, and rich chording and singing single notes, with the added wide tonal versatility of the out of phase configuration. I think irs just as good if not better than any pickup combo, coil tapping, bass/treble bleed, etc arrangement I've ever concocted or used.

If there's a better set of humbuckers on the planet, I don't know what they are. I installed Green Magics in my Les Paul burst today. The bridge is warm, throaty, and articulate with smooth highs and well-balanced mids. Sustain is glorious even at moderate volumes on the edge of breakup. The neck pup is round, smooth, and defined: never muddy or congested. Together? They do what they say on the box: haunting, nasally out-of-phase tone with body and incomparable airiness. Roll the volume off one or both pickups and the middle position gets louder with more body. I unreservedly recommend the Green Magics and couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Pickups sound wonderful in my custom Zebra Wood Les Paul. Wired with an intricate P-Rails style wiring diagram with no issues. All switching options sound fantastic. I would consider putting these in other H-H style guitars.
