Sounds great. I swapped this on my telecaster in the neck position to get a more usable and warm jazz tone. who would have thought that the jazz model pickup would sound good for jazz!

I replaced the humbuckers in my '99 PRS McCarty HBii and I used a different combination of SD's pups this time. I usually like 59's in the neck and bridge. I tried the Jazz in the neck position and boy did that really make this guitar come to life! The '59/Jazz combo really work nice together and I'm super excited to have gigs coming up where I can let these pups out to play! Thanks!

I bought the JB Model from Seymour Duncan about 25 years ago for an electric Yamaha 1500 double horn and was impressed with tone improvement but, I was using solid state amps at the time. I recently bought the Jazz/neck and JB/bridge for a Tele style guitar and love what they can do at low and high volume output from the guitar. String balance, harmonics, and articulation simply opens up when experimenting with amps and pedals. Since then I have started playing more and become a lover of tube amps. I have also realized I can buy a well built and crafted guitar for under $600. The problem is that they often have inexpensive, tone deaf pickups. I have learned that I can buy a new guitar that feels and plays right for me and then install a pickup/s of tone choice made by expert pickup manufacturers like Seymour Duncan. I have also purchased the Jazz Humbucker, '59 Humbuckers (mini and full), and single coils for Tele and Strat styles and the S.D. pickups always deliver! I now have about a dozen guitars with expected tone and balance pickup upgrades without having to go in search of vintage guitars in the thousands of dollars price range.

I have been using the jazz pickup(neck) for years now and I love it. Super smooth tone's wonderful response, especially when paired with the JB in the bridge.

Replaced the stock pickups in my EB Music Man Sabre with a JB/Jazz set and couldn’t be happier. I love the scooped sound of the Jazz compared to the traditional mid hump of a neck HB. It can be more strat like or, as the name implies, jazzy if you roll the tone off a bit. I like that it doesn’t turn into an undefined, inarticulate mess when you roll the tone off like some neck HBs. This set makes a great alternative to my PAF+ equipped guitars. I can now see why it’s so popular.

Night and day difference from my old pickups clean and bright definitely has more range now my guitar was quite before now I can hear my notes play out and sustain tons of resources online to help with the installation also I'm completely new to this I've only been playing for a year and I didn't have to much trouble would definitely recommend

Not much to say, other than the Jazz is a great, versatile neck pickup! Works great with the JB and the Distortion, in which I have a few guitars with these PU combos! It shipped FAST, and I highly recommend this PU to anyone!

Massive improvement over the stock Squier pickup. Warm, full sound. I wired it to be able to split into a single coil for more versatility. Very happy overall.

Beautiful sound. You can't beat the JB/Jazz combo. The covered version is aesthetically pleasing, but also solves the problem of the high E string getting stuck under the neck pickup. Many players use a piece of tape to prevent that issue, but I prefer the look of the covered pickup over the tape 🙂

I prefer a more even range and a mellow tone for Jazz. This isn't it. Your demo videos are blues and rock players rather than Jazz.

I bought nickel-covered Jazz humbuckers for both the neck and bridge for my PRS SE Custom 22. The sound is absolutely top-notch.

I am a church musician and I've been using the Jazz neck for about 16 years now. First with the Hot Rodded combo, and now with a RWRP Jazz neck with a Full Shred bridge in my Fender Showmaster. The Jazz is so incredible! It's scooped sound goes well with the basswood body of the Showmaster, which tends to have more mids, giving a more even tone. And it sounds amazing split, too! This is my go-to pickup and I've always loved it, whether busking, gigging with other musicians, or in church. This is the neck pickup I compare all other pickups to.

Hello, I finally installed the Jazz pickup on my new Fender Tele special edition. It had a Duncan 59 on the neck and the Jazz is way better. It hit the tone I wanted and the string/note clarity is there and pick hard and get the notes to ring right out and get snarly if you want. Chords sound better also and it actually matched the Pearly Gates better than the 59. The 59 was a little weak and had a treble spike that I did not like but will go on another axe setup for slide. Very happy with the Jazz pickup. Very bluesy which I love.

The SG is a rawk machine. But I also needed the PUPS to clean all the way up for ambient stuff. Jazz in the neck, '59 in the bridge. Both love heavy overdrive as well. That's all the range I need. Sweet. Bob Blase

This pickup is just about the perfect pickup. That fabulous strat sparkle in single coil mode, with a bit of darkness thrown in to make it always feel like the nighttime. In humbucker mode it’s rounded, balanced, and wonderful. Every note is heard, clean or gain. Very dynamically responsive to how you touch your strings, and that is where it’s magic is. I paired this up with a hybrid 59 in the neck position, and it’s a great marriage.

I loaded this in the neck position and it has what I want...the great blues tone that sounds like ooooooooh when you are playing. I liken it to the Brian May sound especially if you play with the tone pot a bit. It's clean so the leads cut right through but can still give a gritty SVR tone too. I love it!

What an amazing neck pickup. Delivered exactly the upgraded tone i was looking for and compliments the 64 mm Stack Plus in the center position. I would have been very pleased with this pickup by itself but the bonus clean tone achieved with the center pickup was way more than i could have imagined.

Excellent replacement pickup

I've had one of the bargain-basement Ebony Epiphone Les Paul Studio LT's for a couple of years. I like the playability of the instrument and have spent a lot of time (and a few bucks!) trying to make it that much better. I had it Plek'd and meticulously set up at 13th Street Guitars in Huntington Beach CA (worth every penny!), added a pickguard, but still the Stock Epi pickups just left me flat. Pretty lifeless sounding. Enter a set of Seymour Duncan Jazz pickups. First, Epiphone's wiring of the stock pickups is a total Frankenstein mess--probably contributes to their dead sound. Follow and trust the Seymour Duncan instructions! Remove the old pickups AND un-solder the 3-way switch at the volume pots. Wire 'em up like the SD drawing shows and voila! These new pickups have such RANGE and LIFE. They can sound sweet and round fingerstyling and instantly snap and pop muted with a pick without changing the pickup selector switch. Now I've got a Les Paul worthy of its name! BTW, Seymour Duncan's shipping was fast and top-notch too! For anyone who's on the fence, you won't be disappointed.

Top notch, my only complaint would be the lead wires are very light gauge, hard to work with.

The Jazz neck pickup has changed how I play guitar. I never liked the neck tone on any of my guitars. Then I loaded the Jazz into my Jazzmaster Standard’s neck (Humbucker equipped guitar) and the tone is perfect. I’ve gone from playing exclusively bridge to exclusively neck. I just love it!
