Description

The Antiquity Jazz Model humbucker is the neck counterpart to the Antiquity JB, and is designed to give you the look and sound of a vintage 70s classic. It delivers the same balance of warm fullness, and articulation that the Jazz Model has become so famous for, but with a subtle mellowing in the treble response that a custom aged alnico 5 bar magnet creates.

Each Antiquity Jazz humbucker is hand built with the same original materials that we used to make them in the 70s, including long legged nickel silver bottom plate, maple spacer, original Jazz model stamp, rough sand cast alnico 5 bar magnet, heavily aged butyrate bobbins, and vintage style push-back braided single conductor lead wire. The electronic and cosmetic treatments of our proprietary Antiquity aging process give this pickup the look, sound, and feel of a real-deal 70s Jazz Model.

Gibson ES-335 figure

Install a new Emerson wiring harness from reverb with a jazz and JB pickups from Seymour Duncan in a Gibson ES-335 figure. Played for two weeks then made a crazy popping noise. The switch was in the center position. There’s no sound out of the jazz neck pickup in the rhythm position anymore. The journey begins. 🥸

A wonderful warm an powerful sound

The sh1 is exactly the sound that i was searching for my ls166 Tokaï guitar. I put it on the neck and place also an Sh4 in bridge position. Both are excellent with that guitar.

Blow by Blow

I wanted one of Seymours Larrivee 35 guitars but alas was not able to snag one. Well, I had Stefan Zirnbauer of Stevens Guitar in my hometown make me one. We used the best woods, Stefan did an amazing job with the belly cuts and carving,Stainless Steel 6100 frets and all the other appointments as in the 35. I had MJ make me these PU‘s and they sound beautiful with the whole 35th anniversary set which I had made for me by her. The guitar is a dream to play and sounds mindbogglingly good. I use it a lot in the studio.
