Amir John Haddad

Amir John Haddad - EL AMIR is a guitar virtuoso, multi-instrumentalist and is one of the top flamenco soloists of his generation.  He has won many awards such as the Independent Music Awards (2012), Global Music Awards (2019 & 2020), etc.

He has been performing on stage since he was twelve years old and among he long career he has collaborated with the most renowned flamenco artists and projects such as: Jorge Pardo, Carles Benavent, Enrique de Melchor, Arcangel, Raimundo Amador, Lole Montoya, Antonio Canales, Canción Andaluza (by Paco de Lucia), etc.

For ten year he was member and soloist of the renowned Worldmusic band Radio Tarifa with whom he was nominated for the Latin Grammys in 2004 with the album “Fiebre”. Further he was nominated for another Latin Grammy with Flamenco Chill Band Chambao in 2021.

Further EL AMIR has collaborated, performed and recorded with International artists and legends such as: Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller, Peter Murphy (Bauhaus), Daniel Hope, Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna, Lisa Gerard (Dead Can Dance) o Juno Reactor (Matrix) and is known for his close collaboration with Hollywood film composer Hans Zimmer.

EL AMIR is one of the main soloists in the show The World Of Hans Zimmer and has recorded guitars for famous film soundtracks composed by Hans Zimmer such as: The Rhythm Section (Jude Law), Spongebob 3 - On the Run, Boss Baby 2, Army of Thieves (Netflix) or James Bond 007 - No Time To Die.

He has performed in prestigious venues such as the Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall and Barbican Centre, Mercedes Benz Arena Berlin, The O2 Arena, Wembley Arena, Olympiahalle Munich, etc.

EL AMIR has appeared on international tv channels such as: NDR, ARTE TV, CNN, PBS, TVE, BBC as well as in prestigious guitar magazines such as Akustik Gitarre (Germany) or Guitarist Magazine (UK).

EL AMIR has launched his own Flamenco Guitar Method FGM.
