I installed the Blackouts Preamp in a custom electric 6 string behind a Hotrail neck pickup and Invader bridge pickup. One volume, one tone and a 3 way switch in my setup. I love it. Super quiet but screams when needed. Wiring diagram is well laid out for different setups. Comes with everything you need to fix that old noisy/buzzy setup you have today, and add some great tones to just about any pickup combo.

I installed this in a cheap Jackson 7 string with a dimarzio Ionizer 7(b) and a d-activator(n) and it's now an absolute metal machine. I thought it would be overkill gain but it's not at all.

I was needing to put something together for the studio... something special. So, I installed the Blackouts Modular Pre-amp kit with a pair of Seymour Duncan 59s into a faded all mahogany Gibson Les Paul Studio. What materialized is the most incredible sounding guitar I've ever owned. I felt the combination would work together well but I never expected or thought it would be like this!!! I installed this in an ibanez RG-8 with stock pickups, and it sounds amazing. it has more gain and more definition.

I love the way this sounds with the Duncan pickups that I pair it with. I use the Blackouts Modular Preamp in every one of my guitars.
