Description

Tame the twang and give your Tele increased midrange cut and punch with the Hot for Tele pickups. If you were to begin with a vintage tele neck pickup, wind it hotter, mellow the highs and enhance the midrange response, the result would be the Hot Tele Rhythm. The treble response is still articulate, but it is smoothed out by the more aggressive low end. Great for full sounding chords and sweet solo work.

 

The Hot Tele Lead pickup uses flat, hand ground alnico 5 rod magnets and a special high output coil wind to give you enough midrange power to cut through like a humbucker. The absence of a steel bottom-plate gives you a fat, full punch in both the low and mid-range frequencies, yet it retains the muscular twang of a vintage style lead pickup. Great for Telecaster players who demand a more powerful lead tone, with extra presence and drive. The bridge model is also available in a tapped version, giving you access to vintage and high output tones in one pickup!

 

These are hand built in Santa Barbara, and use hand ground alnico 5 rod magnets, along with the traditional deep drawn chrome plated Telecaster cover and lacquer dipped bobbins. Wax potted for squeal free performance.

There was only one problem

There was only one problem on the rhythm pick up the screws that hold the pick up on well I guess they’re the base where they screw into the holes were too big and screws fit right through so I had the next size bigger that worked perfectly so I would suggest Putting bigger next size screws in there and the little rubber surgical rubber things are they should be a little bit longer because the pick up wobbles till it touches the little rubber things and by the time it start, they hit start to contact the rubber pieces. It’s too high in the action will be way too high for any human to unless they have robotic fingers and it would work. I hope you understand this and don’t get offended. I’m only trying to help.

I really doubt there’s a

I really doubt there’s a bad Seymour Duncan pickup—you just have to find the one that’s right for your particular instrument. In this case, I had an 11.1k tele neck and wanted a single coil bridge with equal or more output. This complimented it perfectly. It really is a vintage-sounding, full-frequency tone, quiet, but with beastly power!

Hot Tele form my old MIM

I wanted more from my stock pups and I got it. A friend of mine was worried that the output of these would loose that ‘Tele’ charm but that’s not the case at all. You just get more… everywhere. Way clearer and way more balanced than my stock pups. The improvement on tone quality is worth it alone. The bonus is they punch as well. You don’t loose any delicacy but there’s the perfect boost of power there. Easy install following their wiring diagram. First time doing it myself and it was a breeze. I’m glad I went with these over the quarter pounders (though I’m sure those are great too).

It was my first pickup

It was my first pickup swap for my ( not a Fender) telecaster. A kit put together and givin to me by a friend. I don't know where he got it, don't know what type of wood the body is or nothing. All I do know is its sturdy, C profile, plays great, in tune and looks good and I love it. But!........ it needed more. Talking to my friend, He said he had put a SD pickup in the bridge of his tele. Outstanding Pickups

I got a great deal a few years back on a dinky Mexican tele. I love the clarity and sustain of a tele but not the twang. I also wanted as much gain as I could get without losing that clarity. These pickups were *exactly* what I wanted. They've turned a cheap, tangerine (not a great color, IMHO) Mexican tele into my favorite guitar. Great for blues and even rock (rhythm, at least).
