Description

The Seymour Duncan High Voltage pickups were designed for players that are looking for the perfect balance between hard rocking tone and crystal clear cleans. Powerful chords, low end legato riffage and generally expressive tight rhythms on one end and screaming, sustaining leads on the other.

The High Voltage humbuckers are a nod to the old school with the familiar Alnico 2 magnets, but they are wound for a bit more aggressive voicing that creates a noticeable sonic distance. The bridge pickup is degaussed in this calibrated set that delivers a very balanced tone.

If you’re looking for your full gamut of classic hard rocking tone to come from your pickups and amps more so than pedals, this is the set for you!

These pickups are what you

These pickups are what you want if you like to play loud. They turn down very nice as well. I put them in an SG style guitar and it changed the attitude of my guitar for the better for sure! Just wish they would have sent a Seymour Duncan sticker so I could slap it on the back letting everyone know where the power originates from!

I normally play blues and hard rock. Typically I play on an alnico II type SD humbucker. With the high voltage, it helps get that grit with little effort. I personally really like it.

AC/DC Hard Rocking Tone

I recently put these in my Gibson '61 Reissue SG Standard replacing a set of '57 classics. Huge difference, these immediately provided a fantastic aggressive and full AC/DC and Hard rock tone. Making some adjustments to my amp settings and I can get an awesome Van Halen and Black Sabbath tone. The neck pickup sounds great and these clean up really well. Overall, these are really versitile for the different tones you can achieve but also perfect for the great hard rock tone of the mid to late 70's.
