Seymour Duncan’s 2026 NAMM Show Recap

Last Updated on February 27th, 2026

The 2026 NAMM Show has come and gone, and it was a massive success for our team! Here are a few of our personal highlights.

NAMM Show Milestone Award

John Mlynczak, Cathy Duncan, Seymour Duncan, Derek Duncan, Maricela “MJ” Juarez, Marc DiLorenzo.

As you may have seen us mention, in 2026 we’re celebrating our 50th anniversary as a company, and we’re proud to have received a NAMM Milestone Award. What an honor!

Artist Performances

Our newly designed booth featured a dedicated stage this year, making our performances even more enjoyable for our artists and NAMM Show attendees.

On Thursday, we welcomed signature artist Philip Sayce to our stage, and he blew the crowd away with a remarkable blues-rock performance. He even made his way into the crowd during his last song, which made his set even more memorable. Afterwards, he signed for and spoke with a long line of fans, giving personal attention to every person who stopped by.

Kiki Wong hit the stage on Friday, delivering a blistering performance of Smashing Pumpkins songs. It was so fun to hear some of our favorite tunes brought to life at our booth, and Kiki was incredible.

Before her performance, we surprised Kiki with an extra-special JB / Jazz humbucker set with one-of-a-kind leopard print covers. Her response was tremendous, and we can’t wait to see what guitar she loads them into.

Finally, Seymour Duncan signature artist Lari Basilio took to our stage on Saturday. As always, she delivered a simply beautiful performance to an adoring crowd. We even caught our Custom Shop manager, Derek Duncan, peeking over the wall of our PowerStage room to capture the moment.

In addition to our artist performances, Chase Becker of Warbringer joined us for a trio of MortalCoil demonstrations at our booth. Chase wrote several pieces around our newest active humbucker, which has three distinct voices.

Premier Guitar Videos

This year, Premier Guitar stopped by for a whopping three demonstrations.

Our first new release of 2026 was the Slash 3.0 humbucker set, which was demoed for Premier Guitar by our friend Jordan Steele. Slash’s latest pickups feature Alnico 5 for a bit more power, snap, and brightness—and after Slash approved the prototype, he started installing them in several of his touring guitars, including a B.C. Rich and a Les Paul Gold Top.

Next up, we showed Premier Guitar our 50th Anniversary JB / Jazz humbucker set! This special set isn’t limited in quantity, but will only be available in 2026. It features historically accurate vintage specs, including long legs, butyrate bobbins from our mold, and rough-cast magnets that deliver the legendary tone that’s defined versatile guitar sound for half a century.

Finally, John Bohlinger sat down with Seymour Duncan CEO Marc DiLorenzo to check out the Duncan 50th Anniversary Tele-Gib, a precise replica of Seymour’s personal guitar built by the Fender Custom Shop. You may have heard the story about how Seymour built the first Tele-Gib for the legendary Jeff Beck, but you might not know that he made one for himself shortly after. This Tele-Gib is based on the one from Seymour’s personal collection, and we think that the Fender Custom Shop did an incredible job.

Interviews from the NAMM Floor

As we’ve done at previous NAMM Shows, we filmed a few dozen short interviews for YouTube and social media this year.

We caught up with signature artists like Philip Sayce, Lari Basilio, and Dino Cazares; guitarists we’ve been working with for years, including Andrea Ferrero (Chappell Roan), Alyssa Day, and Pete’s Diary; and brand partners like Strandberg, ESP, and Sterling by Music Man.

We even tagged our CEO, Marc DiLorenzo, to film an interview with our namesake and founder, Seymour W. Duncan!

All in all, it was an incredible NAMM Show, and we had the best time meeting and spending time with the attendees. Now, we’re turning our focus to the rest of 2026—our 50th year—which will be full of new releases, commemorative pickup sets, and more. Stay tuned on our social media profiles and via our email list.
