Parallel Axis Stack® Strat

The Parallel Axis Stack is a noiseless Stratocaster pickup that takes the innovative dual-pole design of the Parallel Axis Trembucker and combines it with our patented Stack technology to deliver a bright, crisp single coil tone. This pickup mounts into any Stratocaster-sized pickup slot and is a great match in the neck or middle pickup for any of our PATB bridge models.

Like all Trembuckers, the Parallel Axis Stack has a wider pole piece spacing, perfect for symmetrical positioning under the strings of guitars with a tremolo or wide spaced hard tail bridge (2” or wider from the center of the Low E to High E directly over the bridge pickup).

Hand made in Santa Barbara, CA, the Parallel Axis Stack noiseless Strat pickup uses our unique dual-pole design for added sustain, a large ceramic bar magnet, 4-conductor wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal free operation.

  • Neck/Middle position models will have the same output, wind direction and magnetic polarity.

Parallel Axis™ Original

This unique Trembucker (F-spaced) pickup combines our patented dual-pole design, an alnico 5 bar magnet, and over-wound coils for a bold, bright tone with an articulate, clear high-end, and a tight, focused low end. The innovative pole setup will noticeably increase your guitar’s natural sustain. Your sound will stay clear, and defined at all gain levels. Chords will be up front, and growl, while leads will have a nice glassy quality. Often paired with a PA-TB1n Original Parallel Axis Trembucker or PA-STK1n Parallel Axis Stack in the neck position for versatility.

NOTE: Trembuckers have wider pole piece spacing, perfect for symmetrical positioning under the strings of guitars with a tremolo or wide spaced hard tail bridge (2 inches or wider from the center of the Low E to High E directly over the bridge pickup).

Custom Custom™

The Custom Custom humbucker delivers that familiar alnico 2 warmth, along with the rich midrange harmonics of a hotter pickup. The result is a humbucker that sounds full and sweet, and has a warm lower midrange growl that really brings chords to life. The Custom Custom has a fatter treble response than any other pickup, and that gives solos a round, sweet, singing quality. Great for adding fullness and warmth to any humbucker equipped instrument. Pair it with the Jazz model or Pearly Gates model in the neck position for a balanced, versatile setup.

Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA, the Custom Custom medium output humbucker pickups use an alnico 2 bar magnet, nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, are vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance, and are available in either standard humbucker or Trembucker spacing.

Mark Holcomb Alpha & Omega

The progressive metal virtuosos of Periphery are known for their technically complex rhythms and precise tones – tones which require high output passive humbucker pickups with just the right amount of output and articulation whether standing alone or working in a dense mix. The Alpha and Omega pickups were created to match that level of precision and versatility.

Working with guitarist Mark Holcomb, the Omega bridge pickup was created to provide destructive percussion and growl in the mids and low end. It’s aggressive but it also has lots of clarity and brightness, which cuts through whether you’re playing sophisticated chords, complex single-note lines or intense solos.

The Alpha neck pickup is unlike most traditional neck models. It was voiced to combine the best qualities of a neck and a bridge pickup, with some of that fat glassy sound but also plenty of your pick attack and fretting-hand phrasing.

The Mark Holcomb Signature Alpha & Omega high output passive humbucker pickups are made in Santa Barbara, California. Available as a set, or individual neck or bridge pickups in 6, 7 or 8-string options. An additional Trembucker option is available in 6-string.” The Alpha/Omega set has been the heartbeat of my sound for the past several years. Since we developed and released the first 6-string set in the custom shop, I’ve had the same pickup set in every one of my 6, 7 and 8-string guitars, live and in the studio. It has remained one of the few components of my rig and setup that I haven’t even thought about tweaking.”-Mark Holcomb

Full Shred™

The Full Shred medium-output bridge humbucker delivers a clear, focused tone with a nicely balanced treble and bass response, and a backed-off midrange. The shorter Allen head poles and Alnico 5 bar magnet bring a nice crisp clarity to the high end, while keeping the low end tight and articulate. It’s great for all types of rock, blues, and metal, and works well in any humbucker-equipped guitar with medium to warm tone.

The Full Shred neck is designed for players who want maximum clarity from their neck position. This pickup also uses an Alnico 5 bar magnet and short Allen screw poles to create a tighter, brighter neck humbucker tone than ever before. It’s bright and clear enough to breathe life into the middle position of a dual-humbucker guitar, giving it an almost Tele-like quality. The Full Shred neck gets along beautifully with the Full Shred bridge, but can also be combined with one of our high-output bridge pickups like the Invader, Duncan Distortion, or Alternative 8.

Because the Full Shred has such an articulate voice, it works brilliantly as a 7-string pickup, lending separation and distinction to even the lowest and most distorted riffs. Also available in Trembucker spacing (for symmetrical positioning under the strings of guitars with a tremolo or wide-spaced hardtail bridge), the Full Shred medium-output humbucker pickup is hand built in our Santa Barbara, CA, factory, uses an Alnico 5 bar magnet, nickel-silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance.

Custom Mini Humbucker

The Custom Mini Humbucker is a modern take on the classic Firebird sound. Its ceramic magnet and overwound coils give it enough bite to cut through any mix. The bridge model has tremendous punch and a top-end zing almost like a single-coil, but with a tight, humbucker-style low end. Great for big, detailed chords, or a solo tone with a nice, edgy bite. It’s a great match for the Custom Mini Humbucker neck model, or pair it with a Seymourized Mini Humbucker neck pickup for a more traditional neck tone. The Custom Mini Humbucker neck pickup provides that creamy, singing tone with none of the excessive low end that can affect some neck humbuckers. Hand made in Santa Barbara, CA, this pickup is a drop-in replacement for any mini-humbucker sized rout and is intended to be mounted to the guitar using a Firebird-style mounting ring and 3-48 humbucker mounting screw. Comes with a 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free operation.

Seymourized™

The Seymourized Mini Humbucker neck is designed so that each coil contains a high-carbon steel blade coupled to the bottom-loaded alnico 5 bar magnet. The tone has more midrange and clarity, and provides nice, even sounding chords with just a hint of snarl. Clean tones have a clear, snappiness, and distorted tones have a nice midrange growl.

The Seymourized Mini humbucker bridge has more midrange and grit, while providing noticeably more muscle than a vintage style pickup. Chords sound big and aggressive without getting fizzy or losing that cool alnico tonal character. There is a natural openness to the tone that delivers a larger serving of what is so special about Firebird tone.

Hand made in Santa Barbara, CA, the Seymourized Mini Humbuckers are drop-in replacements for any mini-humbucker sized route and are intended to be mounted to the guitar using Firebird style mounting rings and 3-48 humbucker mounting screws. Come with a 4-conductor lead wires for multiple wiring options, and are vacuum wax potted for squeal free operation.

Invader™

Installing an Invader changes your guitar’s DNA. No matter how dangerous your stock pickup claims to sound, the Invader will transform your guitar into the mean, heavy-sounding beast you always knew it could be. The Invader’s power comes from the combination of specially overwound coils, three large ceramic magnets, and its striking, oversized metal oxide pole pieces. These unique pole pieces expand the overall magnetic field and widen the frequency spectrum, which is why every note played through an Invader sounds so rich and massive. The ceramic magnets add depth and clarity while the large hex caps deliver smooth string-to-string balance.

The Invader delivers the thickest, deepest low-end response of any passive pickup we make. Chords sound almost subsonic with lower tunings, but balance nicely with the crunchy treble, keeping everything well defined. While the Invader bridge looks mean and vicious, because it is mean and vicious, the Invader neck humbucker is surprisingly warm and smooth, despite its intimidating looks, and yields a thick crunch and moaning sustain.

Hand built in our Santa Barbara, CA factory, the Invader features three large ceramic bar magnets, oversized metal oxide poles, nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance. The Invader is available in 6, 7, and 8-String passive and active mount options.

Duncan Custom™

The Duncan Custom is a medium output humbucker pickup that features a small ceramic magnet and custom-wound coils to dish out a ‘P.A.F.-on-steroids’ tone. It has tight lows, a bump in the upper midrange that gives you more character and crunch, and an airy high end that cuts through heavy distortion but is also great for achieving crystal-clear clean tones. It’s especially suited for warmer-sounding guitars with a prominent midrange. Therefore, many players like to use it in Les Pauls and Paul Reed Smiths. It pairs well with the Jazz or ’59 neck models, and forms one half of our ’59/Custom Hybrid humbucker.
