Antiquity™ P90 Dog Ear

Our Antiquity P90 Dog Ear pickups use two specially calibrated alnico 2 bar magnets, and custom neck and bridge coil winds to deliver the sweet, vintage correct growl of late 50s ES-330 P90 pickups. In the neck position, chords are full and round sounding, and single notes have a sweet, bouncy quality. In the bridge, chords have a gritty, honky midrange, and single notes are nice and articulate without sounding harsh. The neck pickup is also wound RW/RP to be hum-cancelling when paired with the bridge position model. If you remove our hand aged dog ear cover, you’ll find the same hand fabricated bobbin, plain enamel mag wire, and flatback tape that was made in Kalamazoo during the early days. These pickups are drop-in replacements for any standard Gibson P90 Dog Ear sized route, and come with aged black covers.

Antiquity™ Jazz Bass

The Antiquity Jazz Bass is a faithful reproduction of the classic vintage Jazz Bass pickups that graced some of the greatest recordings of all time. The timeless warmth and midrange punch is all there, along with RWRP construction for hum-free operation when the bridge and neck are used in tandem.

The original pickups made their mark where new eras and genres of music began, and we are proud to offer a classic bass tone that doesn’t bend with the trends. Hand made exclusively in our Custom Shop, the Antiquity Jazz Bass uses specially calibrated Alnico 2 rod magnets, vintage-correct flatwork, cloth push-back wire, and is lacquered and wax potted like the originals.

Antiquity™ P90

Our Antiquity P90 soapbar uses two specially calibrated Alnico 2 bar magnets and a custom coil wind to deliver the gritty, vintage-correct growl of an early ’50s Les Paul bridge pickup. Chords have a warm but sparkly midrange grit, and single notes jump out nicely without sounding harsh.

The neck model is full and round sounding, with single notes that have a sweet, musical, singing quality. It is also wound RW/RP to be hum-cancelling when engaged with a matching bridge pickup. When you remove our hand-aged soapbar covers, you’ll find the same hand-fabricated bobbin, plain enamel mag wire, and flatback tape that was made in Kalamazoo during the early days. This vintage P90 pickup is a drop-in replacement for most standard P90-sized routs, and is available in black or cream aged covers.

Antiquity™ Lap Steel

This is a flat pole, single coil pickup that is very similar in certain respects to a Tele lead pickup. In fact, many players who didn’t like the stagger of the later Tele pickups pulled these out of lap steels and converted them into Tele lead pickups so they could get back to the old flat pole look and sound of the 53 Tele. As a result, there are a lot of valuable lap steels out there that are missing their pickup because it ended up in a Telecaster.

The pickups have a rectangular vulcanized bottom plate, and mounted into the body of the instrument using two wood screws. Each bobbin is fabricated and specially hand-wound using vintage techniques. The bobbins are wrapped in waxed string for added coil protection, and the hookup wire is the classic cloth push-back wire.

Antiquity™ Mandolin

Seymour started making this pickup back in the early 80s when there was a big surge in Mandolin popularity. This single coil mandolin pickup is recreated to fit into early solid body mandolins. The coil is wound “top going” and north polarity like the original. The replacement mandolin pickup comes with mounting screws, schematic, and is wax-potted. The hookup wire is the classic “push back” cloth braid wire.

Antiquity II™ Jazzmaster

The Antiquity II for Jazzmaster vintage single-coil pickup uses hand-ground Alnico 5 rod magnets, with our special coil wind to deliver bright, ’60s Jazzmaster tone that is glassy and crisp, with just the right balance of bridge position snap. Chords have a sharp, clear quality, and solos really jump out with that bright, ’60s surf tone.

Use with the RWRP Antiquity II Jazzmaster neck pickup for hum-canceling performance in the middle position. These pickups are drop-in replacements for any Fender American Standard sized Jazzmaster pickup, and will fit nicely into the existing cover.

Antiquity™ Stringmaster

Originally developed for Johnny Farina of Santo & Johnny, the duo behind the legendary song Sleep Walk, our Antiquity for Stringmaster vintage single-coil pickups are wound for that distinctive 8-string Lap Steel sound. The front-side pickup is wound “top going” and North polarity. The rear-side pickup is wound “top coming” and South polarity. When used in combination with each other the pickups will be hum-cancelling.

Both vintage single coil pickups have the traditional pole spacing and the magnets are protruding from the top and bottom of the flatwork for a smooth, even response. Each of these vintage single coil pickups is recreated to fit into your old classic and comes with schematic and mounting screws. Hookup wire is the classic “push back” cloth wire.

Antiquity™ Jazzmaster

The late 50s Jazzmaster pickups used wide, flat coils that produced a deep, rich tone that Fender hoped would appeal to Jazz players. While it did, it also became the go-to instrument for so many of the instrumental bands of the 60s. And, it turns out, the Jazzmaster is also a monster when turned up and played through a fuzz pedal.

The Antiquity Jazzmaster pickups are outfitted with calibrated alnico 2 poles, and a custom coil wind to soften the treble attack for a sweeter, smokier overall tone. The treble response has snap and sparkle, but is not harsh, while the bass response is nice and tight. The Antiquity Jazzmaster neck pickup is reverse wound, reverse polarity so that, when used together with the bridge, the pickups will be hum-canceling.

The Antiquity Jazzmasters are drop-in replacements for any Fender American Standard sized Jazzmaster pickup and will fit nicely into the existing cover.
