JB Model™

The JB Model humbucker is our most popular pickup of all time. Blues, country, fusion, punk, hard rock, grunge, thrash; the JB has always sounded just right, even as new genres emerged around it. The low end is full and powerful, the highs are crisp and detailed and there’s an upper-midrange bump that adds crunch and chunk to heavy chords but translates to a singing, vocal-like quality when you play single notes or solos. Meanwhile the hot output pushes your amp just that little bit harder for more sustain and harmonics.

Use it with a 500k volume pot for great high-end cut, or try a 250k pot to sweeten and soften the tone for smoother styles. It pairs particularly well with the Jazz or ’59 neck pickups, and some players even like to use a JB in the neck position for an extra-fat solo tone.

Hand built in our Santa Barbara, CA factory, the JB Model uses an Alnico 5 bar magnet, nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options like series, parallel and split coil, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance. Available in standard humbucker and Trembucker spacing for 6-String, as well as passive mount 7-String options.

Stag Mag™

The Stag Mag is a high output versatile humbucker pickup designed specifically to give you a true Strat single coil tone when switched into split mode. Its 4-conductor lead wire gives you the ability to use a mini-toggle switch or push-pull to split the coils for access to both humbucker and single coil sounds.

We use alnico 2 rod magnets with a traditional Fender pole stagger, and a specially designed high output coil wind so that, when split, the sound is bouncy and bright, just like a Strat. When wired as a full humbucker, the tone is fat and smooth. Pair with the Alnico II Pro neck model or the Pearly Gates neck model for a great dual humbucker setup.

Jazz Model

The Jazz Model is an incredibly versatile humbucker that will work for almost any style of music. An Alnico 5 bar magnet and a special coil wind give the Jazz Model neck a glassy treble response and full, tight bass, while scooped mids help each note to sing clearly even under extreme high gain – or even more extreme speed. The Jazz Model bridge features its own unique coil wind to deliver a bridge tone with extra treble emphasis, a nice tight bottom, and a hushed midrange. The result is a clear, bright humbucker that will really make big chords shimmer, and make single notes sound crisp and sharp.

Neck position model also available in a passive mount 7-string configuration.

Seth Lover™

The Seth Lover vintage output humbucker pickups are the perfect choice for players wanting to transform a solid body or semi hollow into a singing classic rock machine. Nothing but blue sky. The Seth Lover neck model gives you a smooth but articulate tone by striking the perfect balance of warm, full low-end and a nice sweet treble. The alnico 2 bar magnet helps to smooth the high-end response, while the vintage output coils bring out this pickup’s rich harmonic content. Single notes will have that perfect singing quality, and the un-potted nickel silver cover creates an almost piano-like tone and percussive feel.

The Seth Lover bridge model gives you that warm, airy, open tone by striking just the right balance of low-end warmth with a smooth but articulate top end. Chords will have a full, open sound, and single notes will have a soft yet articulate feel. The Seth Lover vintage output humbucker pickups are carefully hand built in Santa Barbara to Seth Lover’s original exacting specs. Our butyrate bobbin molds are created by the same factory that built the original P.A.F. mold for Gibson. Other key features include our specially manufactured 42AWG plain enamel mag wire, nickel silver cover, 2.5-inch alnico 2 bar magnet, custom machined metal and maple spacers, and nickel silver bottom plate.

The Seth Lover humbuckers are available with either vintage-correct single conductor push-back braided lead wires or modern 4-conductor lead wires for increased splitting and wiring capabilities. We wind every Seth Lover humbucker on Seymour’s original Leesona winding machine from the early Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, MI., for that unmistakable vintage tone and feel.

The Vintage Mini Humbucker neck pickup offers a blend of bright, single coil high end, and more focused humbucker low end. The result is a pickup with a gritty tonal character, and enough drive to really cut through the mix. Great for warm, midrangy chords, or fat solo tone with sizzle.

Antiquity™ Tele Saddles

Hand machined from the best brass alloy, the Antiquity 50s Brass Bridge Saddles are made to bring out great sustain and the fullness of each note. These saddles are aged like they’ve been played for many decades. The intonation screw is a fillister head, and the height adjustment screws are headless, slotted machine screws. The bottoms of the bridge saddles are trimmed to give added height adjustment (up or down). The thee bridge units fit standard bridge specifications.

’59 Model™

The ’59 bridge model (SH-1) is a vintage output humbucker that’s great for rock, blues, and more. Its vintage-inspired coils give it an airy quality that is firmly in the P.A.F. family, and the alnico 5 bar magnet and vacuum wax potting make it compatible with lighter guitar strings and louder amplifiers than were ever used in the 1950s. The result is a pickup with tons of old-school tonal character, but with a brighter top end, and a slightly more compressed sound.

The ’59 neck model is one of our most popular pickups because it’s so versatile. Like its bridge-position sibling, the ’59 neck is designed in the spirit of the original P.A.F. humbuckers of the 1950s, with sweet sustain, and a warm, full sound that still possesses a clear attack. We’ve made a few refinements to slightly modernize the design and make it more adaptable to different styles. The high end is slightly boosted for improved pick-attack clarity and the mids are a little scooped for an open, smooth sound that’s great for preserving the clarity of the individual notes in a chord. The ’59 neck was born to accompany the ’59 bridge, but countless players pair it with a high output bridge humbucker, such as a JB or Custom. It’s also a popular choice for humbucker-routed Telecasters.

Offered in 6-string standard humbucker and Trembucker spacings, the ’59 model features a variety of traditional vintage treatments, such as 42AWG plain enamel mag wire, long-legged nickel-silver bottom plate, vintage single-conductor braided push back lead wire, and no logo. If you opt for a four-conductor version for coil splitting, the ’59’s single coil mode is crystal clear. As with all of our P.A.F.-style pickups, the ’59 vintage output humbucker is wound on Seymour’s classic Leesona 102 pickup winding machine from the old Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, MI. Also available for neck and bridge in a passive mount 7-string configuration.

The original Fender single coil basses had a unique look and sound. This pickup has vintage output, and sounds like a mix of modern P-Bass thump and Jazz Bass cut. Our Antiquity for Single Coil P-Bass uses the same wind and construction method as the original. We calibrate the magnets for a well weathered tone with greater sustain, and cosmetically replicate over 50 years of wear and tear. The sound is warm and full, with that unmistakable old school tonal character.

Hand made in our Custom Shop, it has four alnico 2 rod magnets for that traditional sound, the coil is wound with plain enamel magnet wire, the hookup wire is the classic cloth “push back” wire, and is protected with wax coated string.
