Description

Take your guitar to the center of the earth! By combining a large ceramic magnet with custom winding specs, the Nazgûl offers the perfect blend of note articulation, saturation and one of the most brutal chugs you’ll ever hear from a humbucker. It has incredible harmonic content across all frequency ranges, and an insanely tight bass response. The Nazgûl has a seriously aggressive high gain sound that is lively, yet completely controllable. And, on clean amp settings, it still knows how to behave and give you those clear, bell-like tones when you need them.

The Nazgûl was originally designed specifically for 7 and 8-string guitars, with the goal of delivering the perfect modern metal pickup for low tunings for extended range instruments under high gain. The Nazgûl has since erupted from the depths, and become a favorite among 6, 7, and 8-String guitarists; serving players whose styles range from hard rock to progressive metal and everything in between. Offered in 6-string standard humbucker and Trembucker spacings, the Nazgûl is also available for 7 and 8-String in a standard open-coil look or with a black metal humbucker cover in a classic passive mount that easily fits in any guitar with traditional routing. We also offer the 7 and 8-String Nazgûl in a standard active mount size with a black soapbar cover and one row of exposed poles for a more modern look.

Hand built in our Santa Barbara, CA factory, the Nazgûl high output humbucker pickups use a large ceramic bar magnet, nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and are vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance.

Nazgul is deadly and definitely a game changer

I came across this pickup when Keith Morrow and Ola England session and I wanted a darker 7 string tone. I picked up the Sentient pickup for the neck Nazgul is my preferred tone.. not to bassy or brittle, just sits right in the middle. Perfect for my Drop A tuning or B . Overall love the nazgul. It's

Overall love the nazgul. It's very versatile with good clean and crunch tones on top of the metal tones. I personally didn't use the coil splitting option because of the pots I had but I bet there is even more tone possibilities. Very brutal, easy to install (with Seymour Duncan online diagrams), and very versatile. In conclusion, worth the money.

Pickup sounds great and SeymourDuncan

Pickup sounds great and SeymourDuncan also had a YouTube video to help me install it. I would suggest having more wiring designs as My guitar only has volume and tone control so i had to do a little extra research to find out how mine should be wired.

My favorite pickups for thrash metal!

I put these in my Gibson LP and my Gibson Explorer, and they absolutely shred! Pinch harmonics are a breeze. Nice, tight low end. I absolutely love these pickups.

Put this in a Jackson

Put this in a Jackson soloist SL3X and it sounds amazing. Very tight lows with mids/highs that can cut through a mix. Nice upgrade from the Duncan designed that came stock with the guitar.

I have Nazgul pickups in

I have Nazgul pickups in three guitars now, so obviously I love the tone, output, etc. It's well known these pickups work well with high-gain amps, but they also sound great with crunch and clean tones as well. I'm certainly not a pristine clean player, but I like the way they sound with the guitar's volume rolled back; they still retain the high frequency content (without a treble bleed circuit in my guitar). Very happy with the dynamics and flexibility of Nazgul... and yup, they are great for tight, melt your face off chuggin' too!

Excellent sound. I use it

Excellent sound. I use it with Quarter Pound single coils. I use it for rhythm and when I want a boost in my sound. Crunchy but not muddy at all. I'd say if you want an edge in playing metal or core music this is a good place to start with.

Ballsy!

The best pickup for metal rhythm IMO. Tight but very punchy low end. In your face and clear mids. Controlled and balanced highs. Perfect for rich chord work, chunky palm mutes, and fat single note riffs.
