Bruce Kulick has just launched a new signature guitar with Rock ‘N Roll Relics, sold through Rebel Guitars, and it features an Antiquity JB humbucker as its sole pickup, screaming out with its powerful, punchy tone from the bridge position and with only a volume and a tone control to keep it company. The Rock ‘N Roll Relics Bruce Kulick BK model is being made in an extremely limited edition of 25, hand-numbered by Bruce and with a certificate of authenticity. It’s inspired by one of Bruce’s favourite KISS-era guitars, and each one will be aged and distressed to look like the original. 
Bruce found that original axe back in 1991 in a vintage guitar store. It was already beaten up pretty severely at that time, but it just had that special magic about it. Bruce used it on several recordings from then on and even took it on the road with KISS. If you caught the band on their Revenge tour in the early 90s, you may very well have seen this guitar. “My BK Model is a tone machine from another era with a powerful slab of mahogany wood and a Humbucker for extra crunch,” Bruce says. “This beat up vintage sunburst beast will take your playing to a higher level.”

The Antiquity JB featured in the guitar is built by hand in the Seymour Duncan Antiquity room using the very same Leesona winding machine which used to wind the original P.A.F humbuckers in the 1950. Every magnet and bottom plate are signed by Seymour to guarantee authenticity, and the hook-up wire is the classic braided ‘push back’ cloth braided wire. “I like things that look old and well worn from playing,” Seymour says. “They have character, like they’ve been used and well loved. That’s how I started our Antiquity line of aged guitar and bass pickups.”
The body and neck of the BK Model are both made of African Mahogany, with a Rosewood fretboard, TonePros AVT Wraparound bridge/taipiece, and a 12″ radius fretboard. And if you want one of the 25, you can secure your order here.
