Philip Gilley, Executive Director of Notes for Notes, presents Seymour W. Duncan and Cathy Carter Duncan with a "Gold Record" in recognition of the Seymour Duncan company’s work with this worthy local charity. Notes for Notes operates inside the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Barbara and provides a place for at-risk kids to go after school. At Notes for Notes, the kids learn to play instruments, record them in a digital studio environment, mix and master their work. The Seymour Duncan company has donated pickups and stompboxes, Seymour sits on Notes for Notes’ Advisory Board (as does actor Jeff Bridges), and the Seymour Duncan Band is scheduled to play a benefit concert in October 2010 to raise money for this great cause.
