Queensrÿche members Michael Wilton, Scott Rockenfield, Eddie Jackson and Parker Lundgren, along with Crimson Glory singer Todd La Torre, unveiled their new band Rising West over the weekend, performing sets of classic Queensrÿche material at the Hard Rock Cafe in Seattle, WA on June 8 and 9.
The band has shared numerous pics from the two shows on their official Facebook page, and there are plenty of fan-shot YouTube videos out there, including this take on Eyes Of A Stranger:
After the shows, Wilton wrote on the band’s Facebook page:
“To all our friends and fans – thank you for the support this weekend for the debut Rising West invasion!! Of our two shows, both were SOLD OUT!! We injected the Metal everyone has been longing for and served it in slab size proportions! Thank you to our hard working crew, the Hard Rock Cafe Seattle, and our friends Windowpane for making this a historical and FUN event!!!”

Wilton has a signature ESP LTD model, the MW-DEMON, which features a Seymour Duncan TB-4 JB humbucker in the bridge position along with a Duncan Designed SC-101 single coil at the neck. Wilton talks about his pickup choices and shows off a custom version of his guitar in the 2009 video below.
